Not enough wattage for water cooling?

Instead of a heatsink, the cpu came with a water cooling system, and when I tried to plug it in to run from the power supply, the system runs for a second and shuts off. Without the water cooler, everything goes on and stays on, any suggestions on what to do?

What water cooler is it? 700W is enough for any system it would have come with, unless there's something wrong with the power supply or the connection.

It's not a very good PSU but should still have more than enough power. Sounds like something is wrong with the Heat sink, do you not have support on this system? (it's pre-built, right?)

Yeah, there's supports and warranties on everything, I built this system

You still have something plugged into CPU fan socket in the motherboard even with the water cooler thingy hooked into PSU? It's standard safety feature of motherboards that if the CPU fan is not detected it will not boot.

If this is not the problem, then either the cable from PSU or the water cooler thingy is defective and probably shorts out the PSU.
