Never fails to make me giggle -- that's a claim which got recycled from a previous end-of-the-world scenario. I think it's a permanent resident of the standard tinfoil toolkit these days.

The original kook who came up with the "pole shift" concept (for the alleged arrival of Planet X in 2003) maybe copped the idea from a geomagnetic reversal, but her version was batshit insane. She claimed that the Earth would stop rotating entirely, then later begin rotating again... only in the opposite direction and on a different axis.

Well it's also the 21st here. No one seems to be going crazy apeshit about the apocalypse stuff.
Been in the 21st for 16 hours so far still nice and sunny
Aye mate
It's supposed to happen 11:11 GMT, or 6:11 AM eastern time December 21, 2012. So we still have about 5 hours.
Not saying I believe it or anything.

Clock just struck 12:00AM Here...the 21st...all is smooth in the US
We are all dead! You just don't know it yet...
Well did anyone *really* believe it? I think not. Why people use doomsday predictions to pass the time boggles my mind, they can never be substantiated and are usually rehashes of age old ideas that have been "predicted" a thousand times before and never come to pass.
The part that annoys me most is that tomorrow there will be the next big world ending idea.
Australia has been owned, there has been mass nuclear explosions and a zombie panic through the streets its mayhem here! EVERYBODY IS EATING EACH OTHER ITS CHAOS HERE. nz was wiped out first its coming. 70% of Australias population is gone.
