    Sound Issues....

Hey all. Before i got my new head set i had my current 5.1 speakers as normal plugged into my on board alienware sound which has always been fine because i have had a usb headset. I chat on ventrilo alot so having vent through my headset and wow through my main speakers worked fine but recently i changed my headset to a razer kraken pro 5mm jack headset. The problem is that when i plug my headset into the front speaker/mic ports i get this horrid crackle noise and when i switched to the back taking out my 5.1 speakers the headset was fine. what i want to know is, how do i get my old set up back using my new headset? as there is only one green speaker port available..... heeeeeelppppp lol

ps - would adding a separate sound card and my on board sound card work together?
