Could it be? Lost weapons armour coming back?

The Isle of the Thunder King is the new daily questing zone, with the Kirin-Tor Offensive led by Jaina Proudmoore and the Sunreaver Onslaught led by Lor'themar Theron. Doing quests will unlock the powerful Lightning Forge, which will allow Blacksmiths to forge mighty raid-worthy items, as well as classic weapons from the past. Other features will also be unlocked by your realm's participation in the war effort.
Any more clues on this sentance? I REALLY hope we can aquire the BS plans lost when Cata came. Either way, I'm pumped for this.

I can't recall any really classic weapon models that have been unobtainable since X. Not counting some lvl 3 green 3-polygoned mace model that has str and spirit. Maybe that 2h mace from original Naxx? (Might of Menethil or something) Or maybe they mean that you can craft ie. Arcanite Reaper with more polygons and sharper textures, like weapons from 80lvl Onyxia.

Trust me, there are unique models. Or should I say were in the old world. There's one particular mace I'll never forget, but I can't recall the name. Its basically a dragons head with 3 stages.

Are you refering to the 3 one-handed weapons from tnx? Dragonmaw was the name of one of the stages I believe

You talking about http://www.wowhead.com/item=28438, along with the other TBC recipes?

It's called Demise now and drops off of Heigan the Unclean in the 10 man version of Naxx.

lets not judge a book by its cover. yah dailies dont sound super exciting, but Blizz has noticed the concerns and have been actively searching for better alternatives. they are allowing us to use our farms to turn mats in for rep also. lets let things get to ptr so we can check them out before we roll our eyes, throw up our hands, and just quit.

OT: yah would be a lovely incentive for people with BS professions, to get something to mess around with. reward the effort and its a success.

I really love how Blizzard is paying attention to little things like removed weapon models now. Thanks for restoring my faith in you.

As for my hopes for restored models: (not all weapons, but we can hope they meant more than that)

http://www.wowhead.com/item=22691 (very unlikely, but I guess it's still worth nothing)
http://www.wowhead.com/item=23073 (retired boot model that fits with Stormshroud set)
    http://www.wowhead.com/item=22988
    http://www.wowhead.com/item=22818 (Homer Simpson shield. It's a necessity. )

See that red sword model? I wonder why they never used that. My point is that they could also use this as opportunity to implement unused weapon and armor models.

    Shields
    Polearms
    Axes (1h)
    Axes (2h)
    Swords (1h and 2h)
    Swords (1h)
    Swords (1h)
    Axes and swords (2h), guns
    Maces (1h)
    Maces (2h)
    Crossbows
    Daggers
    Daggers
Staves, crossbows, maces (1h), polearms, daggers

Yeah, that's a chunk of weapon models being never used ingame. That's a shame, I think.
(from an old thread; credit to the person who linked it there)

Thanks for the awesome sig, Lady Amuno.

There where a couple sweet items from the old Zul'gurub I am pretty sure that never made it to the new version.
Anyways, old items that where removed making a comeback is always nice. Especially now with transmogrification.

Lol, there was more removed naxx weapon models than i remembered. But that red sword made me think, Wotlk vrykul had some unique weapon models too, and their 2h axe model was used in ICC 5-mans, maybe their 2h sword (one which has fur rags taped on it) comes craftable? Personally i dont think so, but would be nice.

My thought is it'll be used to create transmogable versions of legendaries you already have the achievement for.
