It's been a long ass time since Shamans weren't amazing at one thing or another.
We lack ability to heal through heavy aoe damage situations when our healing targets are spread out. At the point where chain heal become a situational tool we should have got a tool silimar to CoH,PoH or WG. We got healing rain and spirit link totem instead . Tools that require ppl to stack. Again.

Although introduction of spirit link totem was a change for the good (because of the fact that we needed a cooldown) we don't excel at healing clusters, we're just good at it. Just as resto druids are. I presume this goes directly against the "bring player, not the class" blizzard's policy.

    Divine Intervention being removed.

Yea, god forbid your worst DPS spec is still better than half the DPS specs in the game.

I don't know about nerfs, but the three biggest buffs in WoW history were probably the Feral Druid and Affliction Warlock overhauls in 2.0, followed by the Retribution Paladin overhaul in 3.0. These were followed by a series of nerfs to bring said specs to reasonable levels, so I wouldn't be surprised if those nerfs were also among the biggest.

    feral 2.0

how many other nerfs were put on the list of reasons you're canceling your account

hybrids in general got gutted once TBC actually released, anyone else remember "BAIT AND SWITCH"?

Darkness kicked it the balls - blizz logic

Early wotlk, dks could spread Devouring Plague with Pestilence was pretty G.

Also does anyone else remember getting Death and decay feared ? That was fun, glad it was nerfed

    Vanilla to TBC rage normalization.

Old time warriors probably still have nightmares about that stroke of genius.

oh got rets in the patch of Wotlk, would just see hammer stun, then suddenly i was dead most of the time. though it was funny to see the paladins killing themselves with seal of blood.

Well, I was sorta thinking in percentage.

Mage Scorch mana cost increased to 3.6% of base mana, up from 0.1%.
That's a 97.23% nerf to mana efficiency for that spell :3

I'd say few nerfs have been even close to as extreme (naturally, mages as a whole won't really suffer due to this)

But at least I can casually play Classic and remember when MMORPGs were good.

    the many wotf changes
end of wrath shift of fixing pvp with "more damage for everyone"

I remember the hotfix to not allow Avenging Wrath and Divine Shield up at the same time came on the Sunday evening before a scheduled patch.

Because it was somehow so inobvious as to have made it through the Wrath beta and 3.0 PTR, but yet so amazingly awesome that it couldn't wait 30 hours.

I didn't even do Arena at the time, but that still pisses me off to no end.

People were complaining nonstop about rets and DKs on the beta, but they were ignored(just like every beta).
I remember doing WG on WoTLK beta and every single person was a ret or DK.
