    Top 10 Games Ever?

Saw this thread over at the WoW Forums so I thought I'd bring it here where the selection might be a bit more diverse.

    Me first:

    10. Shadowrun (Sega Genesis)
    09. The Legend of Zelda (NES)
    08. Baseball Stars (NES)
    07. Diablo (PC)
    06. Police Quest (PC)
    05. Castlevania 2: Simon's Quest (NES)
    04. The Legend of Zelda: The Windwaker (Gamecube)
    03. River City Ransom (NES)
    02. King's Quest 1-4 (PC)
    01. World of Warcraft (PC)

I know I'm forgetting a lot of others that probably could have been on the list, but these are the ones that occur to me at the moment.

I never played Metal Gear as a kid, I didn't even know what Banjo Kazooie was (honestly I didn't even hear of it until recently, it's one of those games that seems much more popular in emulation than it ever was back then), Kid Icarus was alright but I never finished it and honestly wasn't that big of a fan anyway (same with Metroid and Blaster Master, although BM I loved as a kid).

As for Tecmo Bowl, I was never that into football anyway. The other kids in my neighborhood loved it, but I just never got into it.

maybe you should state that it's opinion based (yes, your topic is missleading) so that you can avoid people like the ones in the comments above.
I prefer to remember WoW as it used to be...
Not the abomination it has become...

If I could have had a top 11 instead of top 10 I would definitely have included Silent Hill. Loved every second of that game (except the end...I screwed up somehow and ended up having to fight the policewoman with a pipe. Sucked.)

I don't doubt that it's a great game, I just never played it myself and never heard of it until recently. Nobody I knew as a kid had that game or ever mentioned it, I'm sure it's a classy game though

    10. Halo 3
    9. Mario Kart
    8. Super Mario 64
    7. GTA vice city/ San Andreas
    6. FF7
    5. Halo 2
    4. Gameboy Pokemon games
    3. Donkey Kong Country
    2. World of warcraft
    1. Halo CE

  13. #13
    My list would be:

    1) Warcraft 2: Tides of Darkness
    2) Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening DX
    3) Donkey Kong Country
    4) Pokemon Red/Blue
    5) Super Smash Brothers Brawl
    6) Skyrim
    7) Dragon Age: Origins
    8) New Super Mario Bros
    9) Portal
    10) World of Warcraft

For many of those I would actually like it to be the franchise as a whole (Zelda franchise, DK Country 1,2,3, Pokemon Franchise, Mario franchise, etc) but if I had to pick one game from the franchise it would be as above.

it's a matter of taste of course, but i feel, somehow, some game deserve to be very highly ranked, but no one has play every single game.

Game such as Super Mario for snes, or mario 64, Zelda 3, link to the past.
Arcade game i have spent so much coin into double dragon, street fighter 2, out run.
let's not forget the classics, civilization, populous, duke nukem 3D, the original syndicate

And so many that can,'t be listed here, in fact, one should talk more about the best franchise than the best game.

Call of Duty (the WW2 ones)
    Street Fighter 2 (Super Nintendo)
    WoW
    Starcraft (1st)
    Civilization 2
    Everquest
    Mario Kart (Super Nintendo)
    Golden Axe (Sega Genesis)
    Golden Eye (n64)

Not sure on the last. Debated between many of the top rpgs for super nintendo/genesis/playstation 1

Tried listing the ones I played the most and have really fond long lasting memories from, something other than 'that's a cool game'. Most had some multiplayer aspect to them.
