All this belief does is say that "because conservatives don't like it" (debatable) that race and racism won't exist as concepts in society if they choose not to acknowledge it. Which is denying reality, for their crafted feel good version of it, because race often comes into play with many things. It's lying to yourself and choosing cowardice, because instead of actually working to remove these labels, they pretend that the current ones just don't exist altogether.

As long as people look or act different from one another you will never weed out predjudice. Its a fact that we attack the different always. Oh, I should have worded that better. I meant the stigma attached to those labels. Not the labeled themselves. Stigmas change more easily than labels.

You have the standard political scale with 4 poles and different political ideologies that fall all over the map. Then you have a simple "left" or "right" with the Left being total control over a group and the Right being no control over a group.

So, the person(s) in charge of Westboro have total control of the group, so based on the scale, it is "left wing".

This isn't FoxNews blaming democrats. It's a political scale that's used in D.C. Politics all the time.

And for those of you who say FoxNews is laughable (Hannity and O'reilly can be) MSNBC and CNN are just as laughable. All 3 stations bend and lie for their agenda. Sorry but I can't seem to take any of the Americans news outlets seriously as all of them seem to be extremely biased towards one side or another or try to push there own agenda.

They have what liberals see as extreme right wing views on social things, but whatever his name is considers himself democrat for ecconimic views. Thats all they are saying , its a pun. That even with their views they are willing to vote democrat to get more free stuff from the government. Just demonstrates how the left-right scale is discontinuous. Nationalists advocate government control (because sovereignism) yet are considered far-right, because of their opinions on societal issues. In fact the stance on strangers is perhaps the only thing separating the nationalists from the commies here..
Meanwhile the center-right are more liberal than the rest and the ecologists struggle to find out if they're actually close to the left or not.

And right and left wing aren't defined solely by their stance on government control. There is a very good reason why we consider nazism far-right and anarchism far-left, unless I was constantly lied to throughout my education from primary school to university.

This whole debate could be resolved if you considered this:

So what? Does it say anything about any other left-wing person? No, it does not. It's only your prejudice that gets in the way and ever so slightly attribute this kind of crazy to left-wingers. For the non-critical thinkers out there, this will fly over their heads and appeal directly to their per-conceived prejudices.; and I imagine that those groups of people must be rather large if Fox News can still air things like this.

I try to think like this: I want to get to know you, what your thoughts and ideas are about various political and what not issues. By doing this I try to suppress my prejudice and in turn get a broader knowledge overall; if I did opposite and just lump people into groups I would be ignorant & less knowledgeable.

in terms of government control, where the government has some sort of control (even over social issues like marriage), the scale is linear left to right. You are taking the term left and applying it to liberal. The words liberal and conservative aren't used on that scale. Though people like to superimpose those words over it.

Facism, Nazism and a monarchy (to some extent) are left.

FoxNews called them left. Which is correct. FoxNews did not call them liberal. Don't confuse that.

I found this one delightful. Is calling the WBC left-wing Fox' way of saying "Even we don't want anything to do with you guys"? I usually avoid Fox so I can't really tell: Is the degree of misinformation always this bad, or is this one an extreme example?

You (in general) don't have to be an athiest to be democrat or republican. Same goes for any god believer, but this group has shown time and time again that they spout hate similiar to Obama's old pastor, Jeremiah Wright. Clearly as much hate as the Ayatollah.

Fox News is biased on a lot of things. As CNN and the rest are too. This is not new.
