Why is the R in curse red?

What is the meaning / reasoning behind making the R in the curse logo red?

fairly certain this should be in off-topic forum somewhere but I honestly don't know. Never really thought about it.

The letter R felt bad because in some countries he doesn't really get pronounced, so they gave him some extra attention to really stand out.

It's orange. Their colour scheme is white, grey and orange.

If all letters were white, it'd be boring. Colouring in a letter spices things up.

Picking the letter 'R' gave the logo the best balance.

They could've chosen 'CU', but that might've compromised the readability.

    - Or, that's at least from a graphics point-of-view.

It's a conspiracy of the Illuminati!

Because R is the letter sitting in the middle of "curse"

Making so many jokes myself I'm starting to not know when someone is serious or joking. So, is that true? If so, that would make perfect sense.

Because it singles out the "R", making "Cuse", which is Aramaic for "Superior website".

It's actually clever marketing by Volkswagen. In Europe their diesel cars are TDI (turbo diesel injection) and when the 'I' is red, it means it's the super duper higher horse powered version.

No idea, but I'm pretty sure it would look worse if that R wasn't red, also what Dacien said.

I read that as "horse powered car" and thought it was totally awesome.
I also have no idea. Probably conspiracy. Maybe cookies.
