why do you want more? You can get gear through Rep, BOEs and LFR - that will get you into throne of thunder, and from there you'll be geared for the next raid anyway.
I'd prefer if they didn't waste resources on "heroic" dungeons that were easier than the cata level up ones...
People keep getting wrongly used to dungeons in this new way - queue, aoe tunnel in 10-15 minutes, out. There is zero exploration, zero adventure - just aoe asap to get some points.
Ok, people don't want it - but new dungeons are short and are just for them. Was there need to mutilate older dungeons? Why to take away classic dungeons from people who enjoyed those and make them into tunnels too? But it's different story.
Again, since some people seemingly live in a fantasy world, let me remind you:
MOST PEOPLE DO NOT RAID.
I prefer raids as my main source of pve content, but I still like 5-mans. I think for example the ones released along with ICC were well done, and did a sufficient job of getting people adequately geared for ICC 10. they even provided a decent challenge, like the gauntlet section of pit of saron was pretty hard at the time if you were a gearing tank/healer, and of course, halls of reflection. clearing halls on heroic actually felt like a challenge at first.
I like scenarios, as they get players to take a more active role. but I still want to see more dungeons: 5 man content not only provides an avenue to get geared up, but provide much needed variety in the dungeon rotation, and can also provide story/lore info of interest to players.
as of 5.2, aside from raid time, what is there to do other than dailies? variety is good, i'd like to see more stuff to do other than a new faction to grind.
I am not a raider, lfr is for me the top as it comes to gear.
Still I don't mind that there will be no 5 mans; we can use lfr to raid and it will stay alive because of the fact that that is the gearing-path.
This will same dev-time, lets hope they use it in a good way.
The only concern I have with this path is that lfr will provide a chance for gear upgrades once a week, where 5 mans could run over and over again.
This will slow down newly level capped people for catching up; it could takes months to be geared for the current tier, I think.
So I do hope they will address this in some way. Maybe by lifting the lockout for the previous tier? I don't know.
Also I have a major concern about the queue-time.
The newest raid will only be available to those who are geared for it, the other are pushed into the older raids.
This could cause long, long queue times.
I dont have any real positive memories of post release 5mans,i dont remember much of mgt sides kt and his no dropping mount(got it now though hahaha),the lich king ones were kinda cool though i remember heroic HOR being a colossal pain, dont even get me started on ZG and ZA 5man thats another rage thread all together, and the hour of twilights were nice the first time though but they became rather droll over time. You dont want to make content you worked hard on becoming obsolete and you dont want going through it to be mandatory because of gear.
Finally, no easy way for new chars to get free epics mid-expansion. Gratz Blizz, Finally did something right.
New 5-mans are a waste and we don't need new challenge modes yet. On top of that, new 5-mans are a major hiccup in the progression curve if they offer better items than old 5-mans.
I don't think that is really the issue here.
I am thinking what this whole thing will do to the queues for lfr.
Also what can be a point of concern is new players joining guilds in the current patch. How to cope with being behind in gear and how fast they can catch up.
I think there is more to consider than just the fact that players are getting gear..... that is the least of my concerns, as in the end all gear will obsolete anyway.
What this will do for gameplay is something I am thinking of.
Dividing people over the different tiers doesn't sounds as a very good idea.... but we'll see how it turns out or how Blizzard will create some mechanic to catch up.
Arguing with a troll is like playing chess with a pigeon. No matter what you do or say, he will just knock over the pieces, take a shit on the board and strut around like he won the whole damn thing.
Your getting a 14 boss raid... I mean thats what everyone wanted wasn't it?
But we do get a new daily quest hub. Aren't you thankful?
Most people have been complaining constantly about raids not having enough bosses. Even now there is a 13 Boss raid coming, then people start complaining about non-raiders... It's obviously the circle of life in WoW, one finds a solution to a complaint, then the same person complains about another thing. And for those people who are doing LFR only, 12 bosses in 4 different wings will give you something to do, unless you force yourself to do it all on the first day after reset..
They can see those "nice" pixels at honored / revered and think it'll take 2-4 months getting there, because they also have 4-10 others chars they want to get geared instantly also.
Scenario's, dailies, LFR is all for the true casual players to have a gearing path that extends at least a full patch, just like raiders spend a full patch getting their BiS from heroic raid content.., but as always, if something takes "to long" which is usually more then a couple of days, or there isn't enough easy pathways, or to many pathways, "casuals" will scream their little bitching lungs off complaining about blizzard.
OT; There's lots of other stuff to do in the game, if you don't enjoy anything else.., then the game is over for you, and you should unsub immediately and never come back, because you'll never be satisfied..!
Perhaps blizzard is finally realising, that content needs to be rolled out at an ever increasing speed because they let "casuals" into everything, and they will never ever be happy about anything.., ever, so now they can put out, or shut the f... up!

Or Shattered Halls (Fel Orc stronghold), Ramparts (Fel Orc stronghold), and Blood Furnace (Fel Orc stronghold's prison)?
Perhaps Shadow Labyrinth (same appearance as the rest of Auchindoun), Sethekk Halls (Auchindoun appearance, WITH BIRDS!), and Crypts (Auchindoun again, but with GHOSTS OOooooOOOOooOOH!) were crazy different?
How about those Serpentshrine instances? Slave Pens (tunnel with machinery and Naga with Broken slaves!) and Steamvaults (tunnel with machinery and Naga with Broken slaves, AND FISH TANKS!)
The only instances that were left out of this list were Magister's Terrace (one instance), Black Morass, Old Hillsbrad, Underbog, and Mana-Tombs (which is loose, since it's the same as the rest of Auchindoun, just Ethereal lighting). I count FIVE UNIQUE (loosely, imo four) instances.
Compared to Mist's: Shado-pan Monastery, Temple of the Jade Serpent, Stormstout Brewery, Siege of Niuazo Temple, and Gate of the Setting Sun. That gives Mist's five unique instances, since we apparently cannot count re-done content as new, even though it is completely redone and just in the same location as an old instance (which would give one more unique to Mists for the Scarlet Monastery instances. Debatable for Scholomance, but I would say no, since the general theme and flow of the instance is still intact).
It's more concerning what will happen to the LFR queue at this point if there aren't other avenues of gear catch up. Not only would it be a nightmare for new players, but it would be a nightmare for gearing up your alts. You could potentially never have enough gear to get out of the first tier of LFR, with dramatic times to queue each week.
If there are other ways to get gear, even if it's as terrible as adding increased rewards to the rep vendors, then it's not so bad. I would really prefer a more engaging system though. A couple of 'new' ways to handle this is to upgrade the quality of loot that drops from the heroics we already have. Instead of having the ilvls be enough to get into the first raid tier, it should be increased to the second raid tier. Now the old heroics are still valuable, keeping dungeons queues going quickly, but still requiring effort to get back into raiding.
Another solution would be to add crafting recipes that can make the gear found in the first tier of raiding, where mats for that gear drop only in that raid tier. This way better players will still queue in LFR to farm their mats to make gold, providing quicker queues and a higher level of success. Then high level epics can be sold as BOE on the AH.
This is just two ideas, but there needs to be some solution going forward.
