First, not everyone is a raider. Second, if I understand you correctly, you basically advocate a model where a raider would just have to log in for the raid and log out, with nothing else in between. Problem is, such a model never existed in WoW, and probably never will. Raiding always had a "support" activity built in, like consumable farming (which is imo several orders of magnitude more annoying compared to dailies - yet I don't see anyone complaining about it), rep grinding or daily quests. Why do you only realize it now is beyond my understanding.
Furthermore, you need 90 charms a week, which translates into 45 dailies, which isn't that bad as you're attempting to describe, especially if you're wearing raid-quality DPS gear allowing you to plow through regular 90 mobs.
