Out of curiousity, care to elaborate? What is it you like about BM/dislike about SV?
i dont know i always played MM > SV in WOTLK and didnt play hunter for cata and now BM so its really probably lack of experience.

Why would u play survival on feng it requires only burst aoe for maybe 2 add phases . Beastal wrath multi shot spam gg .

Cuz SV burst aoe is MILES ahead of BM, even with BW. And you make it sound like the adds aren't even part of the fight or they're something trivial. A lot of guilds have trouble killing them in time. Which is why I said, if you don't have solid burst aoe classes in the raid (more of an issue in 10m's) then you NEED to go sv. During progression I would have liked nothing more to go BM to do more single target damage to the boss cuz we were cutting it close to the enrage. But we just weren't able to kill the adds in time with me as BM. I went SV and my add dmg brought me from being dead last, to 2nd on damage done to the adds.

And again, that was all based on 'progression' and raid comp. These fights still are progression for some. If you're all 505+ ilvl with BiS gear and killing feng on farm, then it's a different story. You could even go MM and be fine. Heck you could even just go afk and still be fine cuz the rest of the raid will destroy them.

Confused as to why so many people are going Surv for Wind Lord (not that it's a hard boss so feel free to play what you enjoy).

The reason is most guilds should have plenty of AoE/cleave, too much infact, to the point my guild lets a heal go through because there is too much which is why I and my Hunter guildy both play BM on that fight, it is so far superior for the Recklessness buff it's unreal, you can Bestial Wrath for every Recklessness if played right with Readiness.

Not sure if our tactics are different or what but I'd suggest going BM too. We get all the packs to around 20%, kill 1, burn boss for 30 secs, kill next burn boss for 30 secs, kill last burn boss and he's dead before the buff wears off. This is why BM is much better for these bursty periods, the AoE isn't needed whatsoever.

Exactly same tactic as we use. Apparantly, some guilds just AOE till something dies, burn boss, AOE till something dies, burn boss, aoe, etc untill he dies - some people manage to kill menders twice and trappers not at all, etc - extends the time you have to dodge windbombs, though, and gives tanks more pickups of adds that might end up hitting someone.

Currently VERY interested in a*DISC PRIEST*. PM for more info!
