Do people find the Oculus STILL that hard?

People just don't give a damn about anything when running 5 mans, especially old ones.

It's the alien nature of the mounts and abilities I think. When the players were on foot, they were fine. Yeah, those initial whelp groups were a pain to tank, since the healer ended up tanking most of them, but it was only the last boss that ever caused problems. That was perfectly possible to solo at 85 as well, with a bit of kiting.

It was never hard in any way. The tricky bit was getting a tank and healer that wouldn't quit after seeing which dungeon they got. With a decent group, it was probably the quickest to run out of any of them. It was just getting a group where everyone understood what to do. 3x yellow, 1x red, 1x green. Not hard. It was simply the amount of times you'd get no healer, or 5x yellow, or people unable to figure out how to find the mount in their bags and quitting out after 5 minutes, or a pause as you wait for somebody, only to see them land joined by what must have been every drake in the instance.

A reasonable dungeon, ruined by stupid players.

Some players just can't handle a three-dimensional dungeon, so insta-leave as soon as it pops.

I feel sorry for them.
