Mushroom Biome

Me and my friend were traveling in Minecraft as we wanted to move in game.


So on our travel we came across a Mushroom Biome.

I read up on it and it seems creeps don't spawn here, we even found 2 Ocelots here.

Also the huge mushrooms are nice things to build homes on.

Anybody else here living in a Mushroom Biome?

The only time I've ever found one was in the middle of the largest ocean I had ever seen. Too far away from resources I needed, like trees, grass for seeds, sheep (mooshrooms only!), stuff like that.

Plus trees don't grow, and can't grow on its soil.

If I ever go out looking for one it'll be to silk touch a couple of mycelium blocks or, if it's close enough, drag home two mooshrooms.

Yes, this one is linked to an ocean too.

BUT also linked to a jungle biome, so we DO have resources.

This sounds interesting, I havent found any such biomes yet unfortunately.

Only Mooshrooms spawn there though. (cows with mushrooms on them, which you can shear to get the shrooms)

It's also handy since mobs wont spawn there either.

Does that mean it's worth having your base on a mooshroom island and tunnelling to another area for resources?

Nope. No monster spawns.

No, none, no creepers.

Though our biome is linked to a jungle one, so damn creepers just walk over.

Hmm i have Only found one of these in like a year of Playing Mc.

Put up a fence and light up the area inside the fence you want protected with touches. You can also put touches on top of the fence. If the area is too big, you will need to put some touches on the grass too. I see lot of monsters outside my fence. Can't have creepers blowing up my hard work.

You can also run AMIDST to see a map of your worlds's biome. So you can find the Mushroom Biomes.

Agreed. Actually made worlds just to search for one, and still haven't found any. (insert sad face here)
I feel like if it was in the middle of a giant ocean, I would use every block in my inventory to make a path back to land so I could get resources...
