    .lnk need help asap

So, some1 sent me a file on skype which was a .lnk file but was supposed to be a picture so I chose to open it with windows photo viewer and now all my shortcuts / .lnk files are as windows photo viewer. Any easier way to fix this than a system recovery?

Right click one of the .lnk files and choose "Open With." A sub menu will pop out with a tab called "Choose Default Program."
From there just choose what ever default program you had it originally set to open from.

    No.

He did not send you a picture. He sent you the shortcut to the picture from his desktop or something.

It's like someone sending you a picture of a car, and you think you can drive the picture around and put gas in it.

He didn't send you a picture. A .lnk is not a picture, and no file viewer can view it. Get him to send the actual picture, and not the shortcut.
