Probably your best bet is upgrading your video card. A 660ti ought to be in that price range, and handily destroys the 6670. I looked up the 7950, and it seems like it just doesn't do quite as good a job.

    More suggestions pls

Well, the poster above already suggested the only meaningful upgrade. An Nvidia 660ti or AMD 7950 would be nice upgrades, but they cost slightly more than £200.

I use a card similar to that one except mine has a second fan. I'm able to play most games on either high or ultra and get decent fps and its in your price range with a little to spare.

Thing is if you upgrade your cpu you also have to get a new motherboard and likely new ram, which will cost alot more than 200.

you could go either way, a CPU mobo combination would be a nice boost, even though the 6670 is pretty shitty. imo in the long run an i5+ mobo would be the best route, and then upgrading your gpu as soon as you have the funds.

the 6670 with a great cpu can possibly max wow out, you may have to turn some settings down like shadows and AA. any other games, especially like FPS games, will be severely limited by the 6670.

my cpu isn't all that great I hate to say. It looked nice and was in my price range. I'm currently using a AMD FX-6100 OC'ed to 4.2ghz. I haven't done any raids since I just started playing about 3 weeks ago after a year and a half. But I still get 45-60 fps in panda land.

$330 after mail in rebate. Free Assassin's Creed 3 and Borderlands 2. That would be a HUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUGE upgrade lol. Probably more than a 3570k which you might be able to get with a micro atx board and some ram.

HD 7850, HD 7950 or 660 Ti + aftermarket cooler for your cpu
One of those gpus and your processor clocked to 4Ghz range should make your computer quite powerful again.

you should be able with that setup already. I have almost exactly the same and have no problems running everything on high !

Blow some air in your fans you'll gain some speed back.

For £200 you could get a proper Phenom II x4 like the 965 (your one is re-branded Athlon II as there is no L3 cache) and an AMD 7850. That is the best use of your money unless you are willing to save more up for a whole new system. You might want to check your motherboard supports the 125w AM3 CPU's first.
