Need suggestions: Best Buy monitor under $160

Hi, you may remember me from this earlier post: "LED TV as monitor for gaming?"

In short: my folks went to Best Buy to buy me a new monitor for Christmas, and were talked into an LED TV by the sales rep. Currently, the TV's got four dead pixels already, so everyone has agreed that it's going back. It was bought at Best Buy so that's where we're off to for a replacement (I know, believe me, but that's my options).

Since it needs to be under $160, these seem like my only options for a good size and decent resolution. Any opinions about these?

LG 23" HD LED monitor (RF-IPS236V-PN)
    Samsung 23.6" LCD (Model E2420L)
ViewSonic 23" Widescreen HD LED (Model VA2342-LED)
Dell 23" Widescreen LED HD (Model E2311H3)

I'd just as soon get one online off of Newegg or something as I know I'd get a better deal, but being as it was a gift, I think I have to work within the boundaries given (ie, I have to pick something from Best Buy). Thoughts?

I would go with the LG IPS monitor.

It is a decent IPS monitor to an excellent price.

Thanks, that's the one I was leaning towards as well.

I know you said $160, but theres always

HP - 23" Widescreen Flat-Panel IPS LED HD Monitor

    http://www.bestbuy.com/site/HP+-+23%...&skuId=5563113

as an option as well if you can spare the extra $9 as it's on a pretty good sale currently. Someone else pointed this monitor out in another thread.

Get the LG panel and make them test it at the store for uneven backlighting.

I got the LG IPS236V and it is nice. Stand is a little bit wobbly if it is on a desk that shakes, but the panel is good and there are no ghosting issues.
