There've been many times where I've deliberately underperformed - usually by doing little more than auto-attacking - but I've never just gone afk entirely.

I've never done it on purpose. I always try to play to the same standard - whether I'm raiding with a guild, in a PUG, or doing LFR. I don't see a good reason to perform poorly just because a lot of other people don't care.

That said, I have done an LFR or two after coming home drunk, and let's just say that those don't always go well for me.

Usually I burst all cd's win dps then afk till execute phase and win dps again. Some fights just ain't worth my time and I completely tab out/leave the computer. I understand why lfr is in the game and it does serve a purpose but with the current looting system and the fact that it's beyond faceroll I simply can't spend any meaningful amount of time or energy in there.

I've never gone full afk during any fight, but I have tried just doing auto shoot on my hunter and pressing serpeant sting every 15 second or so while watching TV. No pet control, no explosive/arcane shot, CDs. Nothing.

I was number 6 on DPS.

Lel. That's pretty harsh. Video games are serious business for you, I see. You would see a ~25% decrease in WoW's subs if LFR AFKers were shot.

I regret to admit, yes. Usually if I afk a fight (which only happens if I've done the boss already or I'm watching something), I come back every 30 seconds to refresh dots and auto-attack and turn up not last.

I AFK'd once (yesterday) on Will of the emperor. Suddenly my sister entered my house and screamed "Pancakes!". Obviously I had to go. And as the queue time took over 40 min, I wasnt gonna leave.

I alt tab in it all the time, usually by the last boss anyway. That's when I get bored since there is no challenge, its mind numbing but I need the sigil's on alts etc

i find it even more rude to enter a raid and expect people to do all work for you while you collect rewards.
People that act like this in LFR most likely act like this in lots of situations in real life also, and thats just plain bad in all kind of ways.

Lol what a question. I always afk in LFR. I couldn't care less about doing it but free loot so I just throw some dots here and there and go back to youtube etc..

I think you take video games way too seriously. Your stance on AFKing in LFR is way too black and white.

I used to play WoW with a heart surgeon who would have to randomly take off without any notice to respond to emergencies. This happened a couple times in LFR. By your logic, he should be shot.

If anything, the people dragging this world down are the close minded people who come to extreme conclusions without seeing the bigger picture.

Yup, usually on alts or stuff when I can't be bothered to do bad DPS since I always try to compare my alts DPS to my main.

ok at start i blow my cd's and get myself a drink. come back 5 min later to check loot.
its a boss that cant go wrong in lfr rlly.

at least i am doing some dmg with autoshot :P

now i am in the works with a warlock, when he will join lfr. hmm wanding isnt that great for dps so ye, ill have to try harder haha.

I'm no warlock specialist but, could I suggest going demonology? Perhaps the pet does enough damage.
