I wouldn't call you a noob, but I find them to be a bit boring, as there's not much to do other than protecting your stuff from spies / enemies, and unless it's a Sticky Demo and/or Direct Hit Soldier, it's fairly easy to do. Medics all the way, though. Glares at Larath

what about servers ? .. you people just play on random servers ? or got favorites ? .... i rarely play other places then the UKCS servers mainly as they run smooth ...got fairly good admins and people are generaly nice there so using there servers for TF2 and DoD.
I just hit random servers, but I probably should find a no random crit server, as they always make me rage when I outplay them, but they luck out and one shot me.

Edit : on the 2fort question .. i do like it but find myself playing Dustbowl mostly ... REALY miss the *Well* map .. is it gone totaly ?
No, I've played it on it fairly recently (less than a month ago). The CtF Well map, anyway.

Nice. Good to hear, Larath. I'm not much into competitive though. I'd want to either Pyro (which apparently is a Medic escort class), or Medic, but I don't know anyone to play with, so it's a moot point.

    Oh, and you're horrible.

the game becomes funnier when you remove the random crit element but most of the time you would have died regardless of the crit but you still get annoyed :<

I believe you mean "funner". Regardless, I can't recall many times where I would have died regardless; it's always some bull crocket that 100%'s me, as a Medic.

I can recall plenty of times where I'm at like 25 hp as a soldier and they still crit just to overkill me, happens all the time.

With 25hp you'd die even from a regular rocket... Everything changes when enemy is on 25hp and about to die and HE fires a crit at you. Now THAT is frustrating.
That's why you need me.... Need someone to punish you for your sins.

the bolded part was kinda the point, I used to be frustrated over those crits aswell but now I don't anymore cause as you said I would have died anyway, and if it crits I just shrug it off and move on.

Wave 666? Me and a group of friends completed it, pre-nerf. It was a blast.

As I discussed with you via Steam, I am rather disappointed. I can't see how people want Splendid Screen, Fire Axe, or Jarate...at all. Original is a reskin of the stock rocket launcher, Fists of Steel is there to absorb ranged damage (and what Heavy melees anyway?) so it's not like you're going to get many kills with it, and Neon Annihilator is very situational...I've never used it. Combined with the fact that the prices are being gouged because it's just released yesterday, and I won't be getting / using any of the new Stranges.

Original is probably the most sought after strange weapon in game atm, its been requested so many times and iz sexy, any demoknight worth his steel wants a screen cause the targe is hard to get kills on while you get it alot of times with a splendid screen, Jarate is the best sniper secondary by far, getting PDA or Invis watch is incredible cause neither of them had a strange version before, so I'm really happy with the items released but sadly they'll be expensive like most salvaged crate items.

    ---------- Post added 2013-03-14 at 10:49 PM ----------

the most important part of this crate though is the experiment with strangifier items, it gives valve a really nice playground cause you can add alot of items to convert regular items to stranges and I hope to see more of them in the future.

I don't think advertising like that is allowed.

I also never believed in comp tf2. It's a casual game designed for pubs in my eyes.

not on the level of certain mobas or SC2, but its probably the second biggest shooter out there beaten by CS:GO right now, last year the tf2 stream pulled in more viewers then their (esea) cs 1.6 and cs:s streams did, if you feel like it take some time to watch the games, its starting soon

So, getting back into TF2 again (yay~). My aim which I greatly improved has now reached rock bottom again >_>
What do you guys normally use for sensitivity when playing as a Scout? Alternatively, do you recommend the Shortstop or the Scattergun? People seem to argue about which is better...

Hmm, trying to decide between Fast Learner and Track Terrorizer (I seem to care more about looking good in TF2 than actually playing good).

I personally prefer the stock scattergun which is generally considered the best since the reload nerf on the shortstop, I personally can't use the shortstop very well either, and yes hats/miscs are very important in tf2, the fancier you look the better you are indeed.

sens isn't something I can answer though, I play with something I personally find works for all classes, should probably up it a little for soldier and possibly make my scout one a little lower.

Been a amazing day of tf2, I've watched every game and haven't regretted a min of it, fantastic showing if your into tf2.

Generally, I've never been a Scout which is why I'm asking these. I figured being a class which forces my aim to get better will well, force my aim to be better. Pretty much mained Pyro/Medic/Engineer and Heavy previously.

Hmm alright, I've done my business on TF2 today and generally I seem to really enjoy the full reload of the Shortstop rather than the shell by shell reload of the Scattergun. Shortstop also means you have to aim better, so that might help me a few. Only mained Pyro/Engineer/Heavy and Medic, reason why I'm asked for Scout specific stuff; rarely touched him.

I've seen a few competitive stuff myself, namely from Chip here. I still find it odd seeing them play where the game looks so pixelated... I prefer everything looking shiny. Also them turning off view models, I can understand for stuff like the Ambassador, but I really would like to bring it back after switching or something rather than a perma turn off (like stabbystabby -ts- does, turns off viewmodel for shotting otherwise not). Regardless, I don't really play any class where the models of my weapons will greatly restrict my aiming. ...Back on topic though, yeah, from watching competitive stuff I've seen some really good tips and whatnot for people, also scripts (again from stabbystabby -ts-, though I don't use them anymore due to new computer).

But of course! The better quality and bigger the hat the better right? Doubles as well if you get a shiny effect around it! ...I seriously don't understand the appeal for Unusuals regardless of how long I've played it for. Having an effect around an item makes it look stupid imo (there are stupid items in TF2 yeah, but they look good compared to some moon hovering over your character or something)... ah well that's my opinion anyway.

you'll be slightly better at mid range and better at long range with the shortstop but the stock scatter just packs such a punch and due to having 6 shells you can fight for longer and deal more damage during fights, if your good you can twoshot any class except heavies and buffed soldiers pretty much with the scattergun.

viewmodels are turned off to see more of the screen, personally i have it turned off for most of the shotguns in the game and for rocket/sticky launcher aswell as minigun, and I got the stabby spyscript for revolvers.

the pixelated tf2 comes from fps configs which is there to increase your fps and just help tf2 run better on your machine, I'm running a config called chris's highframes and its working out great for me but its not to everyones liking I guess.
