Nope, nothing wrong with it, I expect others to take advantage of it anyways.

It's like if you find a money bill on the street. Obviously the right thing to do is to give it back, but how would you do that without getting tricked or scammed by someone it doesn't belong to? It's better just to take it for yourself, as selfish as it sounds.

There's simply nothing else to do than use it as an advantage.

Depends. If you try hard a lane that's been dc'd, I'm just going to laugh at you.

Better hope your cockiness doesn't come back to bite you in the ass.

It's generally considered bad manner to kill people who are dc'd. At least with the people I play with.

It's not wrong, but it's hella bad manner. You'll already have the CS advantage, if winning means that much to you, then /shrug

Not really. It's random anyway, and if you play with terrible connection, it's the punishment for you and the team, sadly most of the time.

You don't have to hold back because of it, but to change your strategy or to hard initiate on clearly dced player is too try hard. It's just a game.

Except connection often has nothing to do with it ... Riot client works in mysterious ways.

My part in this story has been decided. And I will play it well.

Though luck, really. If you DCd just play more defensive. If you get towerdived/ganked then so be it. You'll catch up in levels eventually.

Sure, it might not be the nicest thing in the world but the world aint a fair place :P
So you've NEVER left a laning opponent alone if it's obvious to you he's DCing? You just run in and kill him?

By scimming through the comments, it seems like most of the people agrees with you.

Of course it depends on the scenario; TFs, in the mid of a gank or whatnot .. But in a 1 on 1 situation, in the laning phase, it's quite easy to just farm and let him fix his internet.

I think it's a horrible attitude, in a game that is ment to play for fun - especially if it's just a normal game. Killing a DC player fuels the already toxic environment in this community, so if I can help it, I'd rather just continue my farming and leave him be. What happens is that the person usually comes back and says thank you, and in some cases where you DC yourself, he wouldn't kill you either.

Now I would understand it if we were talking ranked, because you have something at risk (elo) and want to advance -- but a normal game? Really?

Most of the time, I find that the enemy team would do the same thing.

Obviously, if you win purely because of a DC, you should feel bad.

In ranked, that DC'd guy is dead, then i'll apologise when he comes back.

In normals, depends on how the lane is going, if i'm losing then yeah he's dying and i'm taking tower.

    I'm such an ass.

Was playing a normal game recently. We had a Vlad top, they had a Kat. Our Vlad dc'd in lane at level 2 (He was stood there auto attacking and not moving) - Both the jungler and top came to kill him.

When he came back, Kat was level 6 to his 2, she killed him a further 3 times with the jungler. Vlad, was quite frustrated and just said "Real manners". Kat replied "You don't need to honor me"

We won that game after I carried as Pantheon and obliterated the Kat. At the end of the game "I was wrong, please honor me"

    Heck no.
Got a game as GP yesterday and the enemy Varus d/c'd at lv 7 and came back when we were all around 15.
I was so fed that I would just Q him to insta-death.
He didn't rage though, but that's because he ragequitted in the first place.
We stopped searching for monsters under our beds when we realized that they were inside us.

Tell me something, my friend. You ever dance with the devil in the pale moonlight?

I wouldn't go out of my way to kill the DC'd person but if they engage on you (Like this fiddle seems to have) go for it. If he wants to be dumb I'll let him be dumb.

  14. #34
If a player on the enemy team disconnects 90% of the time I know we can take a tower or two. Don't feel bad.

Doesn't sound at all unfair to me. Not sure how much you play, but given that matchup in bot, you want to focus Fiddle whether he's above or below you in levels. You let him fear you around while Ez is with him and you'll be dead in fairly short order. In addition to that, I've won a lot of 4v5 games. It turns your bot lane into a top lane, almost like you have 2 junglers. You'll have a team-fight disadvantage, but that Ez is going to start out-leveling MF and Zyra immediately with all that solo XP. DC's suck, but they're certainly not a guaranteed loss.

On another note, if I'm playing a game and someone from each side DCs and come back, we will often ask the other team to allow them to both go top lane and lane against each other, instead of trying to toe up against a 3 level disadvantage.

Edit: When people obviously dc in the middle of a fight, yes, I kill them. Turning down free gold is, well, I don't do it.

It's also unfair to meet face-roll-brain-dead combos but there they are ^^

You obviously havent played a properly programmed game.

Pause has limitations, 2 per team, after 2 minutes the enemy team can unpause.

Pause isnt abusable in the games that have it, aka HoN/Dota 2 and in higher rating games its really welcomed and no one abuses or unpauses until both teams are ready.

It works for disconnect issues also you know, that random PC crash, where LoL players come back level 1 vs level 5, instant first blood?

LoL became famous so fast that they ignored basic features and instead spam create heroes and skins instead since forever.

But the problem is its hard to tell if someone is disconnected or intentionally standing still. You could ignore him and suddenly he pounces on you and kills you.

Also, as someone else pointed out in a previous post, I can't help but be competitive by nature. After playing close to 1000 ranked games my body instinctively pounces when it sees an opportunity to get a kill in lane or make plays, out of a desire to win and advance in ranking. And then afterwards the enemy team guilts me and makes me feel terrible out of something I did as an instinct.

so whats peoples' opinions on this. is it wrong to take advantage of someone dc'ing? should you take the honorable approach and maybe let up on a lane and let him gain a level or two?

edit : i should have also asked, is it wrong to push the lane of the person who is dc'd?
It's not wrong, but dont brag like a dick afterwards because you won and did so good.
Personally I'll occasionally let the guy go, but usually if I'll end up killing them. Its up to you really, just don't feel too good about the win afterwards.

    1. Get glass fibre and a stable connection.
    2. Put LoL on SSD for faster load times and thus coming in game again faster.

Luckily for DC'ers they implemented this neat thing called ' Running back to the fountain'. (assuming they can run back without being stomped)

1 kill won't make that much of a difference even if it is unfair on the other hand.
