    Need headset suggestions

    - Willing to spend around $50.
    - Need to have good mic sound quality.
    - I don't really care too much about audio.

I currently have z11, but the mic audio has gotten too choppy and filled with constant buzzing background noise over mumble.

I use a headset by "plantronics" its £30-£40, has 7.1 surround sound, brilliant build quality, brilliant mic quality. Frankly, its better than my old £100 razer headset. Its lasted a year so far, with no deterioration with any aspect of it. You must either need super-human hearing to feel a difference or razer headsets are over priced tosh. Love their mice though :P I guess you pay for the brand with most of these people, and the quality of their products are subordinate to something most people would call cheap.

Just dependent on whether its sold in the US I guess If it is, I strongly reccomend it.

Found a US link for you, http://www.amazon.com/Plantronics-Ga...cs+gamecom+780

You won't get anything amazing for $50, so you might as well stick with a cheap one. I'm using a £14 Microsoft Lifechat LX-3000, it's sturdy, comfortable, clear sound (both in and out). No need to pay more.

Might aswell get a standalone mic, no?

The Plantronics 780 "thunterman" linked is probably the best you can get in the price range quality wise (for a headset).

You'd be surprised, its alot better than several of the $100+ headsets around.

Plantronics makes some pretty good quality headsets. I have a pair of 377's that just broke after 3.5 years on the left side where the adjustable band sits inside, but the sound quality is great and the mic quality is also great.

A few days ago I bought the Logitech G930 because the glue and tape I tried using on my 377s isn't holding like I want, and I wanted wireless, and it got slightly better reviews than the only wireless one plantronics offers.
