    MSI Twin Frozr Power Connector

    Hi!

    Little question:
    With my GC came a power cable with 2x 3Pin molex (I think its molex) to 6 pin PCI-E connector but one of the Pin had nothing in it
    We can see the PCI-E connector here: http://www.msi.com/product/vga/R7850...=Driver&os=All
    (The fourth picture)

    There is on my PSU a PCI-E connector, and I plugged it in my GC (and It actually work)

    Is it the same thing? My only worry is about the PSU connector, because there is one less pin in the adapter

    ie:
    GC adapter:
    XXX
    XOX
    PSU Connector:
    XXX
    XXX

    X= Pin
    O= No pin

    I wanted to change it because the it use 2 Molex pin instead of none with the PSU Cable

    Does it change something? Or it is actually the same thing?

    The PCI-E power connector from your PSU is preferable. While the adapter you got works it isn't as good as the real deal from the PSU.

    I have an MSI Twin Frozr as well, and for the life of me I couldn't get the adaptors that come with the card to work. Since my PSU only had one PCI-E cord I wound up buying this adaptor to make it work and have had no problems since then. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16812200935

    I have no clue what the problem with the included adaptors are. I also thought it might have something to do with the missing pin, but I'm not sure.

    Perhaps you forgot to plug in both ends? And preferably on different cables from the PSU to prevent overload.

    Yeah that's a standard adapter, it works in most cases but should only be used if you don't have another option.
