All comments about the validity of TNG as a serious sci-fi show are over.

And I love that show, too.

I totally don't remember that being the series finale. I remember something about Q stopping the creation of life on Earth.

My favorites are definitely Tapestry and Inner Light.

Chain of Command was a good one.

But I mean from a plot device standpoint, the TNG Finale should have passed the torch on to DS9. So a Cardassian/Maqui episode would have made a hell of a lot more sense as a series finale.

I mean the only reason the enterprise is able to project 3 convergent tachyon beams to begin with is because of Q's meddling. So the entire plot itself is a gigantic plot hole. Nor does that episode add anything to Picard's character that later gets used in any of the TNG based movies.

Gambit would have been a more sensible series finale. "Oh crap, the Maqui is really gaining support if they are recruiting right out of starfleet" Segwey into DS9 and Voyager.

No way. It didn't need to pass the torch, it was good that it brought the series full-circle as a standalone series, taking Picard back to Farpoint and with Q along for the ride.

Many do really, although mostly on social sites.
Then again he is a professor i would assume he would read his emails
More likely than not, he thought you might be one of his students (kmon what teacher knows all his current or past students)
Or simply does answer public questions, had to edit this as my (bad) attempt to be humorous might be misunderstood.

If that's the case I'm gonna try my luck with Neil de Grasse Tyson next time.

Start on Season 2 IMO. With the exception of maybe the first episode, Season 1 is pretty terrible. It's worth watching so that you're set up for Season 2 and beyond, but it's pretty bad.

This thread should be locked and moved to the Paladin forums.

http://www.wowhead.com/talent#l0| Speed of light is clearly 70% movement speed, whereas judge only speeds you to 45% and pursuit only speeds you up to 30% max.

I bet Neil DeGrasse Tyson gets thousands of emails a day from fans. You can't email him directly through a public address, but have to send a message to the Hayden Planetarium, which I did for the first time today.
