Watch this. Do it. The people we have to blame for Octomom? Ourselves for feeding in to it.

If people criticized the Bible as much as they criticize WOW we'd all be atheists.

Foster care and adoption are two different things with different criteria. So I am retarded because you don't get that?
    because you said this:

You know where some of these kids end up? In foster homes with foster parents who adopt children just so they can have bigger checks.
You don't agree with foster parents getting checks but heaven forbid if ol' octomom doesn't get her checks. I heard octomom's own mother wanted to kick her out for having more kids because it was a dumb idea.

<---- eight years foster care, I turned out great. Foster care > a single parent with 14 kids. She cannot possibly have enough time in the day to "love" and take care of 14 kids.

Is state care ideal? Hell no! Is it better then staying with a mother who has proven she is not mother that makes good decisions? Yes.

And stop blaming the doctor! Jesus. Even if he only gave her 1 more kid. She could not afford it.
I think taking multiple kids and sticking them into state care where they will likely be separated from their brothers and sisters isn't the best course of action.

Stop blaming the doctor? When the plastic surgeon digs into a woman who has body dysmorphia, who is to blame? The unstable woman with body dysmorphia, or the doctor who knew she had body dysmorphia but decided to cut into her anyway so he can make more money?

    *always mentally unstable

Having up to 6 kids while not being able to sustain it, being so obsessed with kids the whole time surely isn't mentally stable.

Well.. you should rather express your own opinion, taking the time and effort to write it, instead of linking to some random guys more random opinion vid on youtube.
Sorry to say, but most people won't bother wasting their time watching it to the end.

The guy has a similarity to her tho.. Both are attention whores in my opinion.

you shouldn't have kids if you're on welfare. you're forcing them to grow up in poverty and it's not their fault.

I knew a girl in a not so great foster home. The parents fostered more kids to make more money and the kids slept in 2 rooms. Each of them got a certain amount they were suppose to spend for themselves (like an allowance) but the parents held onto that and would usually buy expensive things with it.

Foster care has quite a hefty requirement list. (https://apps.chfs.ky.gov/pandp_proce...r_care_kar.htm) I can't speak from personal experience about a foster home or even adoption.

But surely it could be a better alternative for a set of children who's mother can't pay the bills or hell even feed them.

For the overall United States, annual child-rearing expense estimates ranged between $12,290 and $14,320 for a child in a two-child, married-couple family in the middle-income group.

That's just in a two-child home, for a couple also of middle income.

I've got the flu and am not going to type something long out. If people don't want to watch that to the end, then those people's opinions should also be disregarded as they don't want to accept the valid points he makes. I agree he is somewhat of an attention whore, but that's how he makes his living. That doesn't take away from the fact that all of his points in the video are valid. Instead of just dismissing him, why don't you refute a point of his? If you can't then your opinion is invalid as well.

I really don't like how much we spend on the military but atleast the does something for me. Giving handouts to raise these kids does nothing for anyone.

Helps the kids? Obviously. I mean do you have an issue with them having dental and health care too?

You may want to look at Octomom's "haircut bill". She is doing exactly what you're complaining about. She spent $500 on a haircut bill for her kids. Lets just say she went to an expensive haircut place for her kids $20 per kid. that would be $280. So she spent another $220 for her own haircut? For someone on welfare that seems a bit overkill.

No responsible parent will purposely try to set another child into the world, when they don't know that the present of the child isn't secured. Most don't even go for it if the kids future isn't covered. Being on welfare and purposely getting pregnant is absolutely irresponsible and probably the most selfish act one can do.
And it doesn't matter whether it's one child or more. The more there are, only increases the irresponsibility committed.
The problem however is, that the children are innocent. The welfare system needs to help THEM.
The mother however, she needs to be evaluated whether she's actually mentally and physically capable to have all those kids. If that evaluation says, she is, then there's nothing one can do, and for the sake of the kids support them with welfare. If it says otherwise, remove the kids from her.
It's better to have an end with pain, than to have pain with no end.

Why doesn't America just own up to the fact that kids in excess of X# makes for an un-viable "welfare leeching" house hold? With all the crap the rep party has done, why not go for broke and just say it? Heck, they might even win a few people back with that statement.

I also wonder how differently people would feel if octomom naturally had 8 kids? Would Americans be crying fowl as much? Or would they just be playing the "sanctity of life" card too?

I apologize for typos or poor grammar. I'm posting from my phone and my space bar thinks it's the period.

And seriously...if we're going to discuss ethics...who "ethicly" does porn with 14 children? Please don't give me some bullshit about "omfg she needed the money!".
If you don't want to hear other people discuss their "personal world view" in a thread that boils down to personal world views...keep your personal world view to yourself. Most taxpayers don't like feeling like someone is milking the system and putting nothing back into it, which is why we get pissed off when someone like Sulemain squirts out a gaggle of mewling cabbages and expects taxpayers to foot the bill. We've got expenses too, you know. If this is such a big deal to you, call the dear sponge up and pay her bills for her.

She's poor on welfare, can't affording much of anything. Her parents pay for her food and keep all the receipts and she pays them back at the end of the month. He job is basically reality, which dictates she looks a certain way.

I don't say "in my world" because that is just silly. She was desperate and needed the money, which was evident when she said no lower than 100k then did it for 25k. It's part her doctors fault like I've said a few times now. It's majorly her doctors fault.
