Have dinner in the Orbit, that's an absolute must
Auckland Zoo would be good, if you've not been to New Zealand before it'll almost definitely have animals you've not seen before. Also Auckland Museum. It has a lot of Moari and pacific islander stuff which you probably don't get in museums in AmericaAnd if you're into it you can visit Rangatoto island and climb the top. It's a volcano island just off the coast of Auckland, you can see it from a lot of the beachs in Auckland
The harbour is a fun place to visit too, nice restaurants along the pear so you can have dinner looking out at the boats/ocean. If you're planning on visiting anywhere else close to Auckland I'd recommend either Rotorua or Bay of islands. Bay of islands has nice boat tours where you can see and/or swim with dolphins in the wild and rotorua is just an experience to visit because it's over hot springs, so you get to see geysers but also the entire place spells of sulphur. You get used to it after about a day though.

EDIT: Oh and bungee jumping. If they still do it, you can bungee of the Sky tower or the harbour bridge![]()
I've never been bungee jumping my self though.
