And yeah, can we have a public education campaign to teach all posters the difference between model, skeleton and skin? Flametalon of Alysrazor is a reskin of Raven Lord. This mount just uses the same skeleton (I assume). New model.
Fairly sure that's the case, since raptors have feathers now.
Stupid archaeologists, should have just left it at Jurassic park's interpretation.
Anyway, I don't think it's the primal raptor mount, because... well, it doesn't have a saddle... and the model's name is "thunderisleyoungbird"
Seeing as it appears similar to the dilapidated phoenix model we've been seeing recently, it's probably pretty safe to assume that this will either be an NPC on the island, serving as, strangely enough, the young of the birds there, or a battle pet.
All evidence points to this model being a baby version of another creature, a creature that has already been shown to be a FLYING mount of some form

Actually I highly doubt that feathered thing is the new raptor mount in 5.2. Now that I've seen WoWhead. The new Raptor mounts are actually T-REX MOUNTS!! (Says T-rex mount when glossing over the model thumbnail) And they are not properly skinned yet, using the troll raptor model right now. Damn, so we might get some mini Oondasta's after all.
