I dunno, any girl that refers to her boyfriend as anything but, excpet maybe in the firts few months of casual dating, is being a little bit two faced.

but constant lurking of her is a wee bit creepy too.

I think it would hurt far worse, because what if I go to ask her out a couple weeks later, and she says "I already have a boyfriend" when she could have mentioned it day one

Maybe it's not her boyfriend. How do you tell that just from lurking anyway? Could just be his favourite cousin or close gay friend.

Unless they're the sort to bend over fallen trees or something. :p

Girls are often taught in our society to be nice and sometimes they don't want to be too straight-forward at first, I've found. They want to take the polite route. It's nice but it can backfire at the same time.

(No folks, I'm not saying ALL girls do this, but I get the feeling the girl the OP is talking about does do it.)
