I've just had another read of the blue posts from Blizzard concerning the T15 set bonuses and have come up with some interesting numbers.
These numbers are based on my current gear as of 5.1, and are likely not 100% accurate, I cannot link my armoury, but you can find me as Coreius - Frostmane EU.
With Mastery set at 2100, I came up with these statistics:
PPM Min Damage Max Damage Average Average DPS MM 1 16000 24000 20000 1666.666667 SV 1.2 16000 24000 20000 2000 BM 0.7 19680 29520 24600 1435
Considering how far behind Marksman is in the current DPS tables, I'm surprised to see that Survival is going to be receiving the highest PPM rate out of the three speccs, and that despite benefiting from Mastery, Beast Mastery is actually going to suffer the most, and the damage of the summoned Thunderhawk will not exceed Marksman until 5043 Mastery before buffed.
I can understand why BM does not receive as large a benefit as the other two speccs, as BM damage is already so high, however, it would make more sense for MM's PPM and SV's PPM to switch places. This becomes more evident through further analysis of the 4set.
Again, with Mastery set at 2100, I received these results for the 4 set (I took my average Wild Quiver damage as Marksman over the course of 9 hours of boss encounters and then scaled it by a factor of 5/4 to reach average weapon damage).
PPM Damage Total of 3 Attacks Average DPS MM 3 29784 89352 1489.2 SV 3 34251.6 102754.8 1712.58 BM 3 29784 89352 1489.2
As Survival is already ahead from the 2 set damage, we can see that from the 4 set, survival gains an even larger bonus from this set bonus as well, resulting in the following DPS totals:
MM 3155.8667 DPS
SV 3712.58 DPS
BM 2924.2 DPS
I'm not sure what you guys think, but I'd love to hear how you feel about the PPM and Mastery benefits for the speccs.
Just one final point, if the PPM of SV and MM were switched, we would see these totals:
MM 3489.2 DPS
SV 3379.2467 DPS
BM 2924 DPS
