WOW only has 458.000 active US / Euro subscribers now

    News:
According to numerous sources on the internet World of Warcraft
now has 450.000 to 900.000 active subscribers in US and Europe
    combined.

Warcraftrealms puts the number of active characters, who
are level 21 or higher, at 458.000. It also shows a massive
    drop in overall gameplay activity.

    Observation:
    (a) Yes, we know that the internet sources are somewhat unreliable
but not by a margin of millions... something is wrong here.

    (b) Is it possible that Blizzards is outright lying about how many
    subscribers they have?

    (c) Did MOP(Mist of Panderia) actually alienate millions of its subscribers
    by becoming too fluffy?

    Opinion:
    My opinion is "Yes".

MOP did alienate millions. Especially adults players, who appear to want
something more mature. And "Yes", it does appear that Blizzard is indeed
lying about how many subscribers they have.

My final thought on the matter is that blizzard's target audience is now
    children 8 to 14 year olds...I don't like it...

So, Blizz is inflating sub numbers by 900%? Do you have a link or source to any of these "numerous sources"?

Warcraftrealms is your source? Not only did you lose credibility with that, but also the last 2 lines of your post as well...

    This will end well.

This thread will go well. I can't see any future in which this ends badly.

    wut?

And who cares? I raid each night with 24 other people. I don't need millions playing to enjoy my game?

I think I'll go ahead and take numbers from an earnings call made to shareholders, where lying can get Blizzard in a lot of legal hot water never mind losing shareholder confidence which would be disastrous for them, over a third-party source with a somewhat shaky track record.
Be seeing you guys on Bloodsail Buccaneers NA!

Do you have evidence that warcraftrealms is unreliable to the point of being
    millions of subscriber of baseline???

The burden of prof is on you here. Not me...Just saying...

Don't really feel that warcraftrealms is really a good indicator. I mean there are literally entire guilds missing on my server looking over it. Am I absolutely certain though that the amount of "active" accounts has nothing to do with how many players are actually still playing this game? Definitely.

    "Numerous internet sources."

Must be true. They're numerous and they're on the internet.

The opening post is full of outright garbage. Do not troll the forums with ridiculous threads based on nothing but your own made-up facts and thinly-veiled attacks on the game.

    Closing.
