Actually, wrong.. the Western Warrior priest style is more align with the DnD Cleric or Paladin. Some guy who wears chainmail under robes while he beats you to death with a large mace while shouting "REPENT EVIL DOERS"

Ironically.. the D3 priest is very much based on Eastern Monks, and is a better represenation of them than the WoW monk... who seems to be more of a soothsayer martial artist mix.

LOL, yah Warrior Monks are "Poor Fellow-Soldiers of Christ and of the Temple of Solomon" or Knight Templar, and the "Sovereign Military Hospitaller Order of Saint John of Jerusalem of Rhodes and of Malta" or Knights Malta. It was long after the crusades that the term Paladin was used to describe Holy Knights, but in game terms Paladins are western warrior monks.
