I used to remember more when I saw them in Hiragana or Katakana. Katakana was usually great because it's a non-native word and easier to remember which one. A lot of non-native words just basically sound like Japanese pronunciations of their native source. Like coffee being Kohi(or was it Koohi?).

You forgot a particle between ｺｰﾋｰ and たべました, which would be を. Of course, I still understand that you were saying "I ate McDonalds and coffee." If you wanted to, you could say　私はマクドナルドをたべて、コーヒーをのみました。　Which would mean you are saying "I ate Mcdonalds and drank coffee."

Yeah, I had a particle list in my text book last year, but I don't have it any more so I actually need to remember now. I know that に is used with iku, noru, naru, sumu, but I don't know many others. actually, my booklet has a list of verbs and their particles, taht might be useful.

Oddly enough.. I'm a righty and I have no issue with the writing part of the language. But then again, I draw or at least used to, so the general flow is easy for my hand.

Yeah, I think I'm going to convince my mom to take us to either Barnes and Noble or the library. I want to pick up some Japanese books so I can not lose all that valuable information I learned.
