I think you're misunderstanding Starcraft with RTS :P

Though I can understand what you're saying, but I think that's mainly because people suck at making good RTS games. They understand the Real-time part, but not the Strategy part.

I don't even know aht kinda game it is, but it sounds like a strategy game.
I'm bad at these. :/
I like to just build my base until I got mostly tech'd out and I go and overrun the enemy with an army of full buffed XYZ.
Most games won't let me do that. ):

I prefer stuff like Advance Wars over rts games. They need less micro management and give you more time for that. ^^

There is no Tech in these. Just different units for different roles
