That would mean the field isn't rendered until your first click. I always thought it rendered the second you started it.

Happens to me quite often as well, but I normally choose the corner to click first.

I love minesweeper. :3 I could spend hours upon hours on solving the hardest difficulty as fast as possible. Then I'd do it again and again. ^^
