its not silly when there is a high probability that it could happen and second you can play bastion and elder scrolls offline if you want....... from these rumors you would have to be on 24/7 to play even games that should not need to be online to play.Let alone you can copy your folders from steam on to a new computer to my knowledge with this once the servers are down your fucked.

The very likelihood of this is what makes it more than a rumor, although still a rumor right now.
