I would be very cautious trying to purchase and play the game right now. It's having some major issues they are working out.

In all seriousness the game works offline just fine, I got it from... unspecified sources due to genuine lack of money (getting it for bday in a couple of weeks from friend) and it starts fine if you disable network adapters.

On another note FUCK THE MAGES WITH BEAM STAVES, damn insta-killed still at level 9 by blue guys

If you press tab it will open up a menu of items you can place on your Q button. Just need to scroll over the item you want to place there and press tab again.

I found your problem

I guess reading is hard, considering their source was the developer. I didn't 'use' anything other than google. I was trying to help people who may run into issues both purchasing and playing the game.

Go for stuff that have orange names. They give more xp. It went by muuuuch faster for me that way. Might need to use a few potions since they're a bit tougher, but it's not hard. Just don't go for stuff with red names. I did that when I first started playing (actually it was a group of four enemies with red names) and I literally died in under a second haha.

Just downloaded the game and getting started... pretty amazing thus far. Early combat is a bit difficult, but seems to be a great blend of Zelda and Minecraft.

Reading is hard, when you don't open the site.
I refuse to visit it ever as it reports on everything and anything from whatever angle will get the most hits.
A few months ago when google actually had a blacklist function I stopped it ever showing up in results, I just have to be careful now.

Ok, so you dismissed a helpful post because of personal bias without checking the source. Good to know. That's not helpful for people who may have had issues recently. In any event, I'm glad to see they have it up and running fairly well.

I dismissed it because the title in the link was nonsense, if you have it on your machine you can play it, whether or not the servers have problems.

Water Mage seems to be a little easier in the early going given the healing ability. First tried a Rogue/Assassin and it was much more painful.
