    Please Review New Build

Bonus time has arrived at work. Finally getting ready to order the new build, the first I have done in a good ten years or so. Could you fine folks please take a minute to look over the components to make sure that they are compatible?

    Thanks!

i agree about the ocz i was lucky to get one that works but when i first got it the fan was hitting the ziptied wires inside making it click had to take it apart and push them down more but i see alot of reviews how ocz brand just ain't working right alot of people have to RMA them so it's a hit or miss with them.

i'd get the spinpoint for a 1tb hdd

for that type or rig if your gonna overclock i'd get a better cpu cooler like a noctua

the best (but huge may not fit your case)

2 other great ones just depends if you want 1 or 2 fans i have the one with 1 fan and keeps my cpu around 30 and lil lower at times it's great you won't have problems with RAM on the one with 1 fan it'll clear it easy.

i also see there's a new one out and is another solution if you have high RAM sticks this noctua has a 140mm fan ontop and 92mm below allowing for high profile RAM to fit.

Just put together a 600t build and I can't quit staring at it... It's a lovely case. Could do with it being a bit quieter but other than that it is wonderful.

The Noctua os the best you can get air wise, and it will easily fit in the case (using it now) however, the coolermaster heatsink should be fine for a decent over clock. Was using that prevously and it kept my 2500k under 70c at 4.5 Ghz. The Noctua keeps it under 60c.

Also have to agree that you should choose a different power supply, OCZ seems to have taken a dive in quality.

You might want to look to find a low profile memory, the heat sink could give you issues. You will not notice much of a difference at all(if any) between 1600 Mhz and 2133 Mhz, so might be worth going for a different set of memory altogether.

I have seen a number of posts where people had some issues with their Diamond card, might be worth going to a different brand. You should be okay tho..

You are going to have alot of fun with this, I want to see what you do with your 600t

I found a fully modular Seasonic X 650W Gold on Shell Shocker sale so scrapped the OCZ power supply for that. I'm glad I did, too. This build was my first with a fully modular power supply and it is amazing how much easier it makes cable routing through the case (not that it's difficult anyway in the 600T!).

I went with an Arctic Freezer 13 CPU cooler for price/positive reviews. Perhaps the easier after market cooler I have ever installed. I only have a tiny overclock on the I5-3570k of 4GHz based on multiplier alone at this point and it stays around 60-65 degrees under full load.

I followed your advice on the RAM, Dologalot, and picked up 8GB Corsair Vengeance 1600 MHz low profile. Turns out the Arctic Freezer 13 doesn't interfere with the DIMM slots on an ASUS P8Z77-V LK. Better safe than sorry, though.

Again, with the 7970, I ended up going with a SAPPHIRE Radeon HD 7970 OC. Thanks for the heads up regarding Diamond. The Sapphire card is working like a charm. Only issue to note with it is a slight coil whine every now and then but barely audible.

All in all it was a very enjoyable and notably easy build, certainly after being out of the building game for a while. I completed an external build first just to make sure that all components were functional, then broke it down and installed everything in to the incredibly spacious, super gorgeous Corsair 600T. After the system had been running for an hour, I turned the AC off in the room due to the amount of air moving through the case keeping me cool, amazing!

Your RAM is not included in Asrock Z77 Extreme 4's qualified memory list. did it work properly? did it give you any errors?
