Thought i would share a quick iphone pic of my girls w/ the MMO community today. I know there are more PROUD owners out there, please share. I have other "guns" but these are my 15 y/o daughter's favorites and are quite the pair.

Voted Never, But then I live in a nanny state.
would actually love to live in a country where I could obtain (legally of course) and use weapons for target practice and hunting.
How do you store them when they are not in use ?

Some semi-auto pistols are ugly as all hell, and so are some revolvers... There are semi-auto pistols that look pretty good - don't blanket statement lol.
A gun is like a parachute. If you need one, and don’t have one, you’ll probably never need one again.

Thats good to hear . Far too many times on the site people have talked about what guns they own and then shown that there not responsible enough to keep them secured.

Always been curious to know, How often do you need to maintain / clean them. is it after every session of use, or do you have to clean them periodically, Also how long does it take ? Often on TV shows you see "the Hero" quickly cleaning down the barrel and that seems to be it. I am guessing there is a lot more to it ?

I don't have any pictures, or a camera at the moment... but, I'll list off what I have.

    Stag Arms M8L AR15
    Marlin 336 Lever action 30-30
M91/30 Mosin Nagant (seriously who doesn't own one of these nowadays?)
    Remington 770 .243
    Ruger 10/22
    Marlin model 60 .22
M1 Garand (checked S/N - was manufactured in 1942, rifle was in service during WW2, not a reproduction)

That is actually quite cool, Having something that was used in WW2. was it handed down through your family, or did you buy it somewhere ? if you bought it is there no way to trace the history of it ? see who had it and where it went during the war ?

Need to figure out the laws in NJ so I can purchase. I go to the range every now and then, it's pretty fun.

Where during the war, I really couldn't say. I got it from a friend. But I do know it was in theater, every rifle from the batch this one was in was shipped straight to the war after production.

This thread is going to go places.

    ... and get locked.

Meanwhile, I voted never. I don't really feel I need anything... probably because I'm in one of the most crime-free areas of the country.

It depends, strictly you don't "need" to clean after each session, but most of us do because usually the hobby is not just about shooting. I don't clean them periodically as a rule, i store them ready, but sometimes you just get a gun from the safe and do it for sheer fun.

I've known a lot of people who never liked guns until they shot one ^.^

How will this be locked? no rules have been broken.
