Skies of Arcadia

I've seen a fair few articles about sega renewing the license for the franchise sparking many peoples rumours that there may be hope for a HD version or even a sequel at a push and I'm just curious to get other peoples views on the game as personally it is still the only JRPG that I played an absolute ton of.

The game just drew me in, I loved the idea of having my own ship and crew and the fact that battles occurred ship vs ship or even ship vs monster. Plus all the characters were likeable in my opinion and what can I say about the story as it was just brilliant.

For ages until I decided to do a search of Skies of Arcadia I genuinely thought I was the only person who liked the game and had even heard of it.

But like I said did you guys play it and would you guys buy a HD version?

I'd play both a HD version to refresh my memory and a sequel, it was a great game imo

I liked Skies of Arcadia, but by no stretch of the imagination was it a great game. It did some neat stuff, and sky pirates are cool just on principal, but beyond that it was a pretty generic game. I like it and enjoyed playing it, but it's not something I'd buy again. (especially since I still have a working copy)

personally i thought it was amazing and it did stand out from the rest.. combat was good, decent story, good characters. I thought the game was much better than your typical "generic" rpg but to each his own.

I never did finish the Gamecube remake, so I would buy it.

oh I remember playing this game on my gamecube a while back, the ship battle was a lot of fun the story was very good also.Will definitely keep my eye on this if it ever get remake or a sequel

If they remade this or made a sequel and it come out for a system I didn't have, I would consider buying that system solely for SoA. I LOVED that game. I played the DC version and the GC remake.
