Change the motherboard to ASRock Z77 Extreme4
Change the PSU to Corsair TX 550w
I'd pick a better constructed case
If you really are going for a GTX 680 (670 is ~$100 less and only loses 5-10% performance), then please go for a proper aftermarket cooler, the EVGA coolers are known to be extremely loud.
    H80i is fine for 4.5 GHz, I overclocked my 3570k to 4.5GHz on a H60.

Do NOT get the Samsung 840, get either the 830 or 840 PRO.

This is one of the few EVGA cards that utilizes a non-reference cooler. It is still not in the same class as MSI, ASUS or Gigabyte though.

    Oh.
I apologize for that, I've never seen that cooler before.

I'm using the EVGA 660 Signature 2 and the cooler fans aren't very loud and seem to work very well at keeping it cool.

Yeah, but it still isn't as good as ASUS/Gigabyte/MSI which is around the same pricerange.

Your build is fine. I personally would change the case but that's purely for aesthetic reasons. Since you're building a gaming PC and purchased one of the top end GPUs there is nothing really to change. You could probably get a larger capacity SSD, but that Samsung 840 SSD is a fine choice.

depends how much you value a one of kind warranty service. (performance wise signature gpu's tend to OC very good aswell)
i'd say the gpu is a splendid choice but dropping down to a gtx 670 would yield more budget for other parts.( kraken X40 is better compared to a h80i iirc from anandtech bench)
    also meh on samsung ssd's

edit: kraken best high end , corsair mid tier. (x60 for utter overkill and H80i if you want allround performance)

The Samsung 840 (non pro) SSD is a good consumer drive. Unless he's doing something like over 20GB of writes per day there is no reason to swap that product for anything else. It certainly is one of the strongest consumer drives on the market.

    ---------- Post added 2013-01-18 at 08:07 PM ----------

The Kraken x40 is weaker than the H80i, but then the latter costs $10 more. Out of the two though the H80i is cooler and quieter.

    My personal thoughts:

looking at reviews and videos, h100 might be a good option, depending on the case. In quiet mode, you could easily overclock it to where you want it while staying very cool and very quiet. Definitely, if you were planning on going to the h80, the h100 is only about $10-20 more for better performance.

As far as case, maybe the Fractal Design R4, NewEgg currently has the Titanium Side Window one on sale for 89.99. I have the Black Pearl version. Extremely well built, nice looking case with a lot of cable management and even spot on the case behind the mobo for ssd drives. There are also extra spots for extra fans and even removable cleanable dustguards that can be taken out and cleaned. A completely removable set of drive bays for better air flow throughout too. A lot of thought and desgn went into it. I like it a lot.

As far as mobo, currently have the ASRock Extreme 6. I read a few reviews and ones comparing the 2, and the 6 just came out to be a better built, better heatsinks, etc... for $20 more. I think the only main advantage is the dual BIOS switch that the UD3H has.

SSD's, consider going a bit bigger if you only have 1 that you are going to use, 256gb type. Price per GB is pretty good atm.

He'll probably have to cheat a H100 inside an R4 case though. I vaguely remember the H100 not fitting without modification.....

    Very nice case though.

r4 has dual 140 options on top, however screw holes for 120

picture is not my rig, but shows h100 on an r4, not with stock fans, but with the better sp120 fans, about $25 per pair

thanks guys for the help due to your opinions and suggestions I have changed some parts note that my budget is 1300$ so I couldn't take some of the parts you recommended

    my new build :

    GIGABYTE GA-Z77X-UD3H LGA

    Intel Core i5-3570K

    COOLER MASTER Hyper 212 EVO

    CORSAIR Vengeance 8GB

    CORSAIR Enthusiast Series TX650 V2

EVGA Superclocked, Signature 2 (I liked it more XD and the 7970 people said it's great at first but it breaks after a while )

    SAMSUNG 840 Series MZ-7TD120BW 2.5" 120GB

    Seagate Barracuda ST1000DM003 1TB 7200 RPM SATA 6.0Gb/s 3.5"

and for the case I think i'm going to search for one from a local store because the shipping will triple it's original price (

what do you think now ?

The ASRock Z77 Extreme4 should be better and cheaper.

Change the harddrive to a Western Digital Caviar Blue, even if you have to go down to 500GB, it's a thing worth doing. Seagate harddrives are horrible and has high failure rate within the first year.

I'd still go for a 550w, 650w is kind of an awkward position right now because it's overkill for single card yet too weak for dual card configurations.

In my opinion the WD caviar Red HDD's are looking better and better, really tempting to purchase one to replace my Black disks! Go check the tests and reviews on them, cheap and good performance is win.

I'm not from USA .. the parts are going to be shipped to my PO box in NY spring garden then it's to be shipped to my country and the cost for each pound is 7.33$ !

this case weights 28.8 pounds so the total gonna be 337.4$ !! see what I mean ...

can the mother board handle over clocking ? and it performs well with the rest of the build ? if yes yes give me the link please and it's a buy

Will the 550w be enough and a little over ? because that's what I was aiming for with the 650w

Mild overclocking yes, but I still advise against getting the board. (The gigabyte one that is)

The name of the board is ASRock Z77 Extreme4, since I don't know where you're from I can't give you a link.

550w is plentyful for the rig.

With 750W PSU you can probably run 3 GTX 680s.
