World of Warcraft theme park in China - pictures from BBC news site

Looks awesome. Bit too far for me to go though.

(EDIT: Title is supposed to say "news site" not "new site")

Why is it an unofficial Warcraft themed park? Didn't Blizzard authorized this?

yes i do reconise some blizzard franchise, but i have to admit, i find them a bit... fan-art, not blizzard like (aka not the same quality as the one in front of blizzard office)

It's definitely a WoW and Starcraft rip off park. Here are some better pictures:

Yes you would, the photos on the latest bbc article really do it no justice to the WoW/SC (I think there's a couple diablo things too) ripoff a lot of the sections are.

Its a video game part, with some extremely poor rip offs of warcraft characters.

The only part that seems genuine is the blood elf lake thing, but the rest is just a knock off.

Ok most of the statues are ripoffs in some way (i see a charr from GW2 in there also).

However, this one of the gnome is a direct copy. http://shanghaiist.com/upload/2011/07/joylandwow_03.JPG

draenei viking with what looks like a horde symbol copy on the front.

You for, for all the effort they put into making these mock ups, they really are poor mock ups. Makes me wonder if this is an unlicensed park they blizzard didn't approve of if blizzard will try to sue them.

I don't even...wtf. To think that someone probably spent millions to make this. As bad as these are, how is this legal? I mean do they sue and get an entire park shut down forever? That seems like the bigest gamble with a lot of money ever. The gnome on the sign is the only copy pasta, everything else is like a nightmare world where WoW is produced by Uwe Boll.
