Because, then he's dumb as a board.
You can't learn flying mounts before level 60 (land/hybrid mounts at 20), so it's kinda pointless to uy a mount at level 1...

to be fair tier 1 and tier 2 didnt have class restrictions either untill transmog. the old dungeon sets too were also not class restricted.

Naw. I saw some lvl90 mage get out their Argent Gruntling and then fly off on it.
