probably the stupidest thing i've ever seen someone complain about
multi dotting and hurricane is 'bloated' now?
Hurricane seems to improve a lot with crit rating. I hated it at first, now I'm just like meh I'll cast it when Nature's grace and my trinkets proc and then multi dot with sunfire, use starsurges to get to lunar, use starfall and do the same thing in lunar, go back to solar and repeat. With a hasted hurricane I actually beat most classes in my gear now depending on number of mobs up. It's a little clunky but it gets the job done.
I personally would have rather had shrooms and multi dotting like the poster above said, and have hurricane just like in cata for limited situations.. But I'm used to what we have and don't mind it that much and do my best to work around the limitations. It's going to be sad to lose our extra 2 seconds on dots without our current tier as well as starfall bonus (which is incredibly strong on cleave fights atm) but hey we work with what we have, and blues aren't exactly jumping to meet our demands. Gotta roll with the punches, and at least we have increasing crit rates to look forward to! Starsurge procs for everyone!
The arguement atm is shrooms have to be weak, because those + dots is too strong. But atm both are pretty poor, dots only serve the purpose of procing SS. As crit levels improve (and with the T15 2set) we'll need less dot uptime to ensure maximum SS spam, meaning we may not even bother using AOE at all cause SS spam would be higher dps no?
Ofc to actually SPAM ss we have to be in melee range, they need to change it so they are not slowed by travelling spells (more like pyroblast! or lava burst queuing) or make it a stackable spell so we can keep one in the bank so as soon as the first one lands.

Vexxe 2.6k XP Full T2 2/2 upgraded D00MK1N looking for established and reliable RBG Team to push HOTH PM me.
Whatever the change ends up being, our aoe desperately needs a change.
They should for sure get rid of shrooms. And while they're at it get rid of eclipse, and make mastery a straight across the board stat bonus. There are too many stats to attend to for the yield. Hit is already and always has been a fun-tax, but we have to invest in haste, to make starfire even worth casting (at least in pvp), and mastery so the purposefully withholding functionality of eclipse is worth the time. so where does that leave crit, which has always been our bread and butter. if this is the intended model SS needs to hit for a hell of a lot more than what it does to supplement what we're denied in dps.
No more of this conditional jump through hoop damage. It's like firing a sniper rifle while balancing on the middle of a see saw. They rarely make other specs rely on conditional (especially burst) damage.
care to elaborate or is that just your opinion?
you mean to tell me that you wouldnt take a 25-30% gen increased spower (* just for example) mastery buff to both lunar and solar so as to avoid jockeying between them with eclipse?
other than giving us something to do what benefit does it grant?
That would be just about the most boring class in the game right now. So no, no i wouldn't want that.
Giving us something to do is a pretty good start.

I realize that some of the utilities of a boomkin arent as widely used in PVE as they are in PVP, so I guess I get your point.
so if you're dpsing manequins in pve it would seem boring.
I prefer puzzle games, you prefer action. Let's leave it at that.
The "new" mechanism of placing shrooms is so nice, too bad the shrooms itself are crap now and we dont really got much opportunies to have a fun with it.
But I agree with the aoe issue. The guy earlier mentioned a great idea imo. Make Hurricane a cast and forget ability like earthquake. That way nothing needs to be buffed. We can just throw a hurricane on top of a group and then proceed to multi dot. That would bring our aoe up quite a bit. And while they're at it, buff shrooms but add a cooldown. So we have burst aoe when needed as well.
Another thing we need is not too much reliance on burst. And an execute.
But honestly though, I would forget about all of the above issues in a heartbeat if they simply gave us a better option for movement. Or not such a high penalty for it. The only thing we can do is plant our weak ass mushrooms. Lunar shower is too risky as you might overwrite a more powerful dot. I mean balance druids have THE highest movement penalty in the game. I can't think of another class that comes close.
Extending our dot duration or allowing us to refresh both dots with only 1 cast would be nice...
