I'm voting for Basic Campfire for all classes.
I'm voting for Basic Campfire for all classes.
I'd have to agree on Brox being the strongest (mortal) warrior to have lived. Then again, yes, he did use an enhanced axe from Cenarius but as I understood the whole "enchantment" (having newly read the novel again) it was just "hardening" the material of the axe into something diamond like.
Source: wowpedia.org/Axe_of_CenariusCreated using druidic magic, the axe was enchanted to have the sharpness and density of a diamond and would never break. It proved to be able to slice through any foe with ease.
So, basically it didn't make him stronger per-se. I think you could describe it as an heroic-ilvl weapon with the best enchant, maybe?
I'd have to say Brox (If we're counting dead peepz). (Sidenote: I doubt Anduin Lothar was weak..even though I haven't seen anyone suggesting him)
For the other classes...I don't think you can say "strongest" I bet if Turalyon, Uther the Lightbringer, Saidan Dathrohan, Tirion and Gavinrad fought they'd be about equal, not sure about that though. They also were diffrent good in their own specialization.
I think it's impossible to say "he/she is the strongest" since there are so many heroes who exceeded their comrades in combat in different aspects..But, yeah, that's my 2 cents!
Pretty sure Anduin is a priest. Wrathion could be anything, he hasn't shown much of he's powers. I think he is likely more into magic than hand to hand combat though. We don't know what Class Wrathion will end up being trained as, Remember he is two years old right now. It is safe to assume that when he matures he will be top of his chosen field. Same goes with Anduin Wrynn, you just know he is going to be something one day.
For warlocks I would say Gul'dan was likely the most powerful (at least among mortal ones), Kil'jaeden the most powerful currently still alive.
Mage: Jaina Proudmoore

Priest: Velen
Druid: Malfurion
Rogue: Mathias Shaw
Monk: Chen Stormstout

I don't always hunt things, But when I do, It's because they're things & I'm a Bear.
Mage - Aegwynn
That's all.
Thinking about this can be difficult. Mages are easy, Warlocks no as much. Mainly because the most powerful Warlocks in the Horde and Alliance are the Player Characters. However there are a few notable Warlocks.
Warlock:

She was extremely BADASS but still Azshara is way stronger that her althought nowhere near as badass
Druid - Malfurion Stormrage
Priest - Velen or soon to be Anduin Wyrnn if he doesnt become a paladin
Hunter - Slyvanas Windrunner she has claimed to be the best ranger on Azeroth. I do not doubt it either
Death Knight - Arthas Menethil
Paladin - Tirion Fordring
Shaman - Thrall
Monk - Chen Stormstout
Warrior - Grom Hellscream he became Chieftan of the Warsong clan when he was still in his teens and it was even before the demon corruption one of the more violent clans, And even when he was on demon roids he took down cenarius and Mannoroth and its noteworthy to say he is undefeated in combat. Also he in one of the most badass moments I'v ever read in a book defeated Hurkan Skullspinter in combat who was chieftan of the bonechewer clan.
Mage - Medivh hands down even deathwing would not face him in combat due to Sargeras's presence I'm sure he could fight on par with Azshara. He also opened the dark portal by himself and even communicated with Gul'dan telepathically on different worlds is a feat of its own. Im not sure of Azshara opened the legion portals by herself or if it was a team effort
Warlock - Gul'dan, he destoryed a enitre settlement of akkora with one spell and raised the hand of gul'dan aswell as sunken islands If we are going immortal then Kil'jaeden
Rogue - Garona

Medivh wouldnt stand a chance against Azshara, keep in mind that Sargeras presence just made him do evil things, Sargeras didnt empower him, Aegwynn did and even Aegwynn in full power couldnt fight Azshara and win; about the portals remember that the dark portal was made to allow the entrance of orcs into azeroth while the Highborne were trying to open the biggest portal ever, capable of transporting Sargeras, thats why it needed the energies of the original well of eternity and the dedication of all the highborne magi.
For mages:
I would add the dragons as well. In their human form there are actually dragonmages.
So add Alexstrasza, Malygos (dead), Ysera, Nozdormu, Deathwing (dead), Krasus, Kalecgos and Wrathion.
I think you can add Illidan as well if dead characters are counted in. Before he became a demon, he was a mage.
For Death knights:
Don't forget on Bolvar Fordragon. The Lich King is actually a Death Knight too, but with a higher rank.

so do lots of scarlet crusaders and forsaken holy priests (Muerta, Champion of the Light)
being undead doesn't stop you from being able to channel the light. as blizz always says, that ability is proportional to your belief of being able to do it. if you believe you can channel the light, you can channel the light.
the reason undead light users are rare is because the light hurts them, and that shakes their beliefs.
Warlorcs of Draenorc made me quit. You can't have my stuff.
