I personally love the undead for looks but I'd have to go with Belf.

This a 100 times. I wish Blizzard would just separate aesthetic choices from gameplay choices. All mounts are now the same speed. We have transmog gear with ever more relaxed rules. Why do we still have to pick between the ugly stick and the (self-)nerfbat?
WoW is a game about character progression. Everyone is min-maxing: not everyone puts in the same amount of effort, but fundamentally everyone is improving their character through a sequence of levelling up, talent and glyph choices, gearing and gear improvements/modification. In the ordinary course, no-one deliberately picks an inferior item. Very few raids are stuck at content because of gearing - yet I expect pretty much everyone will agree that if you're playing in a team you should gem and enchant your gear unless you really can't afford to. Picking the wrong race is like refusing to fork out for belt buckles. How can I complain about someone else always skimping on enchants when I decided to turn down 2% dps straightaway at the character creation screen?
it is a tough choice. They are both amazing looking.
I personally prefer the orc casting animations (and you'll be seeing them plenty!). Massive shoulders are also sweet.
However, Blood Elves have better animations for everything else, are a more manageable size and make that twirl when they jump.
I would go for the vibe.
The Orcs command demons with brutality and sheer power. Pentacles crudely scribbled in ashes, inside tribal caves.
Blood Elves are more Crowley-like, refined and control demons with knowledge of long-forgotten rites. Complex ritual drawings, almost mandala like, in dim candle light and victorian mansions.
That's how I see it.
Me? Orc FOR LIFE.
there's a lot of focus from players on 'min-max', but Blizzard encounters do not require every player to be at 100% performance start to end. just look at the ease with which guilds tend to dispatch a boss once they've killed it for the first time, even after 200 wipes. there's so much focus on theoretical, but killing a boss is about repetition, learning, confidence and anecdotal knowledge. given the 'breathing space' 10 or 25 people get between theoretically perfect and human performance, there's plenty of room to lose the decimal place performance provided by say, picking Orc over Undead.
I think i can give up choose talent in this level?
because if i am not choose this level。 i can have 20% blood more than choosen..
GREAT BLZ.
warlock now became a guy use 5 level talents VS other 6 level.
That's the thing with the "world first" guilds though, even the world first guilds could find the 0.2% elsewhere. That's why they wipe, they did the fight improperly. But the 2% from racials is a free 2%, meaning that (mostly) given all else equal, you gain 2% every attempt. Which can be the difference between getting that early kill or getting it even days later.
Exactly and as above I think that most top raiders realize this. But that doesn't discount that you are gaining something for literally nothing by having won the character selection game.
As I mentioned, you will not notice any difference on your meters whatsoever by swapping race. You won't. But that doesn't mean it isn't there.
I know that, and the Nathrezim were necromancers and a Scourge hero unit in WC3.
It's just the aesthetics of it that don't work for me. I see the Forsaken as being undead, not demonic. Two different styles... pick one or the other, not both. It's the same reason I don't like worgen druids. Like, be a werewolf or be a demon, don't be both. Same thing here.
Just my opinion, of course. I've got two warlocks, a blood elf demonology/affliction warlock and a goblin destruction warlock (named Kadoom).
Lol... It is not too hard to get... http://www.wowhead.com/spell=5227/touch-of-the-grave
might actually be worth considering Troll too, with the amount of beasts we'll see next tier.
Unless you're in a very hardcore environment, go for the race you want to play. It doesn't make a huuuuge difference, the people who race change to min-max are the same ones who roll new classes to face content.
However, if you want to be awesome, you should be undead, baby. every time, all of the time. Every other race isn't as cool, and we look amazing when we jump.
Warlock = undead
Just it.
GC doesn't matter if you give me more nerfs, I will survive!
this thread convinced me to racechange back to female Orc

its a heck of a lot easier and cheaper to make up dps than to switch from orc to belf. if your heart's set on belf, go belf and dont look back. you'll regret rolling an orc when you realize the dps increase is minimal.
tbh, go for what you like (belf) - in the end its most important to like your char , rather than the difference between small numbers (dps) - i for one could ex. never make a tauren (they are just to damn ugly) so if i had to start a new char, i would chose any other race ....
just my opinion![]()
