*Post about more reasons for raiders to do dailies, something that will piss off alot of people*
*Follow up with news about TESO going into Beta*
Well played MMO-champ, well played.
You know what Blizzard? Keep the good work up. No, I'm being serious.. you're doing a good job!
There's a line to be drawn between listening to the consumer and what you guys consider the game to be about. Some won't like it - "some" don't have to. Games like this will often change, and it seems some are less willing to go with the change.. be it due to difficulty, access, layout, whatever. With time though, I think most of us tend to adapt to the change - there will always however be vocal groups who find it unacceptable. Is it wrong? No... it's not wrong not to like something, but don't expect everyone else to dislike it because you don't.
From what I can see, there are arguments for situations (like VP capping) requiring too much OR not enough - I find that's a good and proper middle ground. They're trying to provide for the wants of many, not the few. Before I would probably complain that VP cap is too low because I was once a HC raider, but much like this game, I have changed. As a game, this doesn't need to be fuel for rage, and I find my dedication to it can cause a few sparks... but that's not the game's fault - that's mine. I have a passion for this game, like many do, and when something you love changes or goes wrong, yeah, it sucks.. but don't just walk away. Look into it a little - get a deeper understanding of just why this might have happened and who it all reflects.. Blizzard can and has had its faults, but we're no better than they are.
Since Jan '07 I've been playing WoW on and off and while my interest in it comes and goes, it still will be a game years from now I'll fondly reflect upon. There have been inconvenient moments, there are bugs, there are layouts and ideas I would rather live without.. but for the sake of all, the good of this game truly does outweigh the often temporarily and optional bad.
So again Blizzard, thank you~ And keep up the good work!
We're looking for options, not less work. If they made it so you'd have to do twice the work than dailies to get the coins you wouldn't see people complaining. We would no longer be forced down one route, we'd have a choice. Saying "you're not forced to do anything you choose to play the game you can just go outside and do something else" is just ignorant.
That said, you are getting options, as I believe the lesser charms will be available from Pet Battles starting in 5.2. Yet it's odd that you still see a ton of people with your exact argument (we want more options) even after you got options. A more honest and accurate way would be to say that you want the option to do only the content you want, yet still get the exact same rewards as those who are consuming a wider variety of content.

All this complaining is simply further proof that Blizzard could send each and every player a real-life wish-granting flying unicorn carrying a solid gold plate of chocolate chip cookies wrapped in hundred dollar bills, and someone would whine that Blizzard sucks for not letting them choose oatmeal raisin.
Was going to say this was a bad idea, then realized you'd only need 12 Charms at most and then less once you don't need LFR gear or gear from specific boss loot tables.
Its a sad fact, and its ruining video games.
No one is forcing you to do anything in WoW. Its ridiculous to even suggest it. The motivation behind doing those EASY AS PIE dailies, is the thought of salivating all over more gear on 'bonus' rolls.

Wow... a new way to get Charms... through dailies... the same way we get them now... Please Blizzard, enough with the dailies.
Not a fan of extra RNG coins
Like plenty of people here I have to wonder, who thought adding more Charms to daily quests was a good idea. I just don't follow the logic. Adding them to pet battles - ok, fine, it's a different way of acquiring them. I don't really care about that, but still, it's something. But random drop from daily quest as an alternative to ... daily quests?
I was kinda joking about it in my guild few days ago - "they'll add even more Charms from those dailies to make sure you'll be doing them". And holy shit, I was right. Is Blizzard trolling us or something?
"Hey guys, I heard you were complaining about having to do dailies in order to get Elder Charms. Good news, now you can do even more dailies to get even more Charms. And it's random! Enjoy!"
And obviously, even more people defending Blizzard with their typical "effort" and "choice" bullshit. Be honest with yourself. In what kind of crazy world More Daily Quests are an alternative to Daily Quests? It makes no damn sense.

Yeah I'll be doing them every day without fail just for the chance for more charms now, even if I'm VP capped and already turned in my weekly 90.
Players: "Wah wah wahhhhh, boo hoo, whine, nag, rage, general rudeness, 'you will literally NEVER please us, EVER', more boo hoo, wahhhhh."
Blue Post: [Insert generally calm and reasonable response given to the best of their ability, though the slight hint of completely understandable frustration may rear its head]
Players: "BRAVE WORDS. WE HAVE HEARD THEM BEFORE, FROM THOUSANDS OF SPECIES ACROSS THOUSANDS OF WORLDS, SINCE LONG BEFORE YOU WERE CREATED, BUT NOW, THEY ARE ALL BORG. NEGOTIATION IS IRRELEVANT. YOU WILL BE ASSIMILATED. YOU MUST COMPLY."
Don't worry guys, they already said that the Elder of Good Charms are only applicable for 5.0 raids, Galleon and Sha only. New bosses in 5.2 will be using a new charm, which are earned by switching lesser charms. Therefore, introducing Elder of Good Charms onto dailies does not change anything, but give players a chance of having a chance of getting a charm that gives them a chance of getting an item off 5.0 raids.
More ways to get charms? It's still dailies, and only dailies. Oh and new charms for 5.2 content... yeah, fuck this game.
So much complaining...wow playerbase is really pathetic. At least daily's give you a reason to log in the game....personally I don't miss the days where all you did was log on raid times then turned WoW off the rest of the week. Hell you can still do that...plenty of people still do. At least if you do want to log in now you can get a small extra bonus of charms. But WAAAAHHHHH its gonna be mandatory....I find it hilarious when people say that kind of shit then you look at their profile and they haven't even downed any heroic bosses. If you're in a world first guild a couple of extra dailys isn't gonna kill you. If you're in a normal clearing casual guild then a few extra charms sure as fuck isn't gonna make or break your raid so stop your damn crying.
