10N Amber Shaper

We've had a couple nights of attempts on this, last night's best fight being:

our strat yesterday was:
extend p1 by constructed tanks eating either 1 or 2 pools but trying to save as many pools as possible for later, stacking debuff on boss (in the fight i linked above, we had destabilize up to 50 on the amber shaper before we wiped).
p2 we 1-tank with the other tank staying in construct stacking debuff on boss, other constructs staying shaped and stacking debuff on monstrosity...(we had a couple attempts with the zerg boss at end p1, and a couple attempts trying to hero and blow up monstrosity quick to shorten ph2)

tips? how high should we be stacking debuff on amber shaper with this strat? should we just be busting tanks pout in ph1 right away and not stack the debuffs until p2?

we were 3 healing the fight to avoid problems with a healer being reshaped in p2 or 3, pally and 1 priest were focusing on holy dps primarily though, waiting for damage to become a problem...

There is no need to extend Phase 1 and stack the debuff, just kill the constructs as they come out. It's not a very hard fight, once you get to Phase 2 continue breaking out the constructs, keep in mind to play it by ear if a boss interupt is comming. Hopefully your raid knows how to use the buttons from LFR because phase 3 will be pretty easy once you get there, lust then and pop healing cd's as needed.

the only issue happens when you get phase two started when the construct timer is wacked. In my guilds first attempts, it turned out the monstrosity would explode 5 seconds before the boss would amber-shape the next person, making us have to keep each shaped person in for a long time, since you wouldn't be able to interupt otherwise. The two enemies timers do not activate into relation to eachother.

We went in last night for our first real night of attempts (messed around last week getting a feel for it) on this boss and after looking at all the strats it was decided to just go the simplest route.

What we did is just break out everyone ASAP in p 1 and 2 and had them focus on interupting > everything. Once we got that down we made it to P3 and then it was GG. With the amount of dmg you will do in P3 you really dont need to do the huge building up of stacks so long as your 2 tanks go in with cooldowns and comunicate for swapping as cd's come up and down. The way we ensured peoepl got out in time was that we put our ele sham on mutated lifes 100% of the time if one was up he was on it. If at 50 energy they were not below 50% they would call it out and we would turn and burn to help out.

As you can see in our WOL once P3 starts the dmg just skyrockets!

Just stop DPSing the construct when he is at 20% hp and let him stay as the construct to get the interupt. If he doesn't get it oh well.

Yeah, sounds like you're trying to do normal mode with an overly complicated strat that isn't necessary.
1) break people out in p1 and p2 (p2 make sure they stay in long enough to interrupt the boss and don't kill them)
2) don't extend p1
3) having both tanks up in p2 makes it much easier dealing with fling
4) 3 healers isn't really necessary, 2 works better, but might make it easier for you on your first kill
5) p2 stack strikes on the monstrosity
6) don't eat any pools until p3 (might need a person to drink one in p2 if they need to interrupt)
7) p3 just stack up and dps the boss, make sure constructs are auto attacking (right click), adds a lot of extra damage. spam that one button

You can try the strat we use in HC (I am sure it will work for normal too).

NO ONE dps the boss, dps tank construct to 20% and leave it, make sure they do not lose the stacks, eat if needed. When boss near 75% or so health, the boss should have around 55 stacks? Although on normal you might have less due to boss probably go down faster. We then wait for the next beam cast to come, just before he casts it, Hero and nuke. You have 16 seconds as the boss will cast the beam to full, then cast a new construct, then the Monistory comes. In that 16 seconds we got the boss to under 20% (even under 10% on lucky bursts), Hero should still be up at this point, nuke down the slimes (should have plenty built around since you ignore them in that 16 seconds of glory), then focus taking the Monistory down. By the time you hut phrase 3 boss is as good as dead.

Well, that's what we did. It still didn't help the fact that when a healer was shaped, we had less healing for longer than we would have liked. We had to eat puddles too, it really was messy. Over all though, when we stopped worrying about it, we got to phase two in a good time, he would amber shape someone about 5 seconds before he blew. Of course, the explosions are in a window, and the last one blew as the person being shaped was still stunned. Oh well, it works out most of the time. I still think a boss fight that has important timers like that would rely on one another at least, in stead of it being borked for half the fight because you attacked too quickly or too slowly in the first 1/5 of the fight.
