Epic Bat Mount - A quick look

So, in 5.2, the Zandalari will be hitting Pandaria and you have a chance at some mounts. The Epic Bat just happens to be one of them. Everyone is going nuts over this lol. If they would just read patch notes once in awhile

Anyone else remember Ghostcrawler's tweet a few months ago about the lack of bat mounts?
I think he said they needed to make a cooler looking bat first, and I wonder if this was in the works when he said it, the cheeky monkey.
Actually I think he said something about a bat needing a walk animation,.... which means this may not be for players.

But maybe they gave it one finally so it elbow walks like a protodrake.

Well, that's fitting, considering how a bat moves on the ground IRL! Just as long as it has a proper ground animation that allows it to be used in "non-flyable" zones. Hate how so many of the mounts I like can't even be used in non-flying zones.

Lots of mounts dont have a walk animation. The first that comes to mind is the Magic Carpet. It just slows down in speed while on the ground. They could easily do this with the bat as well. I know there is others too

I think this mount is going to wanted from many many people. My one fear is... TCG, with that lvl 20 req but it has 3 dif colors so maybe its not. Although Crimson DC had 2 colors and windstead had 4 so who knows.

My thoughts exactly. Undead have been using these for their flight paths for years, but have never shared with us. Now is the time!

I really hate this, for some mounts it's ok (carpet, nether ray) but others just look pathetic without a walk animation, like the cloud serpents and the other golden blizz store mount.

I hope the bats get a walk animation, one that mimics their real walking style.

Blizzard is infamous for bringing out a lot of new mounts, but most of them are based on already existing skeletons, even if they look completely different. I hope it does not work in this case, and we get something really new. (plz no proto-drake bat... lol)
