Firefox not remembering search history

Every time my computer restarts or I start it up from a shut down, my Firefox search history gets erased.

This is rather annoying since I'm used to being able to type in the first few letters of my website to bring it up.

Any way I can turn this off?

In tools on your toolbar go to options then privacy see if remember history is checked or not.
