Help with extra Hard Drive? (Buying a new computer)

So I am going to buy a new computer. Although instead of building it on myself with the help of guides I shall buy a made one for the simplicity and easy service offers and also I don't trust myself with expensive equipment.

To the point! I just found this computer that seems pretty good and it has a discount currently. But the problem that even I see is that the SSD that they picked for it only has 120 GB and I see that this is way too low for all I need to have on there so I need to pick another hard drive. Is there any kind of HDD hard drives that anyone would suggest? This is the computer:

Tower: Corsair Obsidian 650D Midi Tower Black

Power Supply: XFX ProSeries Core Edition 650W PSU

    Motherboard: ASUS P9X79 LE, Socket-2011

    Processor: Intel® Core i7-3820 Processor

    RAM: Kingston DDR3 HyperX blu 1600MHz 16GB

Graphics Card: Gainward GeForce GTX 680 2GB PhysX CUDA

    SSD: Kingston HyperX 3K SSD 120GB 2.5"

I will be very thankful for any help I can get, commenting on the other parts of the computer might also help me decide other things with it if that is something you wish to comment. Thanks!

Pretty good looking computer. Really for SSD's you just want one for your Windows OS and depending on the size of it, put on a couple games that you play regularly. If you have the money to afford another 240GB+ SSD that is strictly for games, I highly recommend that as well.

As for a regular hdd, what size are you looking for in one? Here is a 1TB drive for under $100 USD. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16822236339

Why are you going for X79 and a 3820? For gaming the Z77 platform and a 3570K/3770K is better. I don't see a point in going X79 unless you need the power of a 3930K.
    Intel i5-3570K @ 4.7GHz | MSI Z77 Mpower | Noctua NH-D14 | Corsair Vengeance LP White 1.35V 8GB 1600MHz
    Gigabyte GTX 670 OC Windforce 3X @ 1372/7604MHz | Corsair Force GT 120GB | Silverstone Fortress FT02 | Corsair VX450

Well I didn't really pick those parts... The company did so I thought maybe they know what they're doing but apparently not? :P It's one of their ''Gaming Premium''

It's extremely overkill for gaming. Look for something less expensive from them, using the 3570K CPU for example.

Throwing money at a computer unnecessarily does not make it any more future-proof than spending your money wisely and making good part choices, components degrade at the same pace after a certain threshold...

And unless you're talking about making a career out of streaming/video editing, you don't need the computer you listed in the OP...

Also, your microphone is not being affected by your RAM...

First sentence: Well... I just still have the problem with that I don't trust myself with the building of the computer and I get the 3 year warranty incase something breaks so they can just figure it out for me. And I mean when they have a discount so that basically the building of it doesn't cost anything it's just very hard to me for letting go of the offer. They don't appear to have anything that suits better in the terms you're talking about so what I end up wishing for is just a good computer that I can use for a while and then maybe upgrade a thing or two.

Second sentence: Well you never know!

Third sentence: ... I really need to study this more.

Well I'm not talking about overkill more that the 3770K is faster than a 3820 and costs less. The X79 platform just isn't made for gaming and the 3820 is a gimped CPU for that platform.

Only reason to go X79 for gaming is if the Z77 lacks PCI-E lanes for what you want to do with it.

That's fine, if you don't want to build no one is going to make you... I'm not saying build one yourself, I'm saying that I can almost guarantee the site has better computers for gaming that cost less.

Give a link to the website and one of us can try and find something that is better suited for your needs.

Well the issue is that it's Swedish... But now I have found something that might be suitable of what you're mentioning... Look at this:

Cooler Master HAF 912 Plus Midi Tower

XFX ProSeries Core Edition 650W PSU

    Intel® Core i7-3770 Processor

    MSI Z77A-GD55, Socket-1155

    Kingston DDR3 HyperX blu 1600MHz 16GB

Gainward GeForce GTX 680 2GB PhysX CUDA

    Samsung SSD 840 Series 250GB 2.5" BULK

It has the mother board and processor that n0cturnal was mentioning.

    It's better, but still overkill.

Google translate works well with Swedish sites, and more than one of the Computer Forum regulars are Swedish (including two moderators).

If you really don't want to build yourself you can always get a computer from https://www.inet.se/kategori/84/speldator or http://cdon.se/hemelektronik/speldatorer_-_thor/

Keep in mind that Inet.se offers a service to build a computer for you, just add https://www.inet.se/produkt/9990250/...ia-komponenter to your shopping list and you can pick any parts you like from their stock.

Ah I'll consider that one since you say it's good.

Well I do think that I've heard of Inet before so that might not be such a bad idea... Will definately consider that.
