Question Need a Gaming Build for $750.

    Hello...

I'm in need of a gaming build budget roughly $750. I would need everything except a Keyboard, Mouse, Sound Card, SSD's & a Monitor along with the Video Card, I've Windows 8 already & optical Drives.

Gaming I'll do is Diablo 3 Maxed, WoW High settings, Call Of Duty Black Ops 2, BF3 High settings if I can not looking to push Ultra that's basically it, there is no other game coming out that I'd like to try or play but would like the option to upgrade if need be later on.

I'm looking at the NZXT Phantom 820 Case love the look for a case, I'd like to get a Corsair PSU, I've got a spare Corsair H100i laying around so no need for a CPU cooler.

Its the core components I'm lost at for when it comes down to Gaming, I have no desire to OC. I do have a Micro center, Fry's Electronics within 25 minutes from me if that's another option but for online I'd prefer Newegg.

Any idea's what I would go for?

    Thanks.....Gamer2k1

That's a REALLY expensive case for your needs but I added it because you said you wanted it. The build should be a little cheaper with the MicroCenter price ~$750. There a plenty of great mid towers around $100-150. If they don't have the motherboard at your local MicroCenter then change it to an Asrock Z77 Extreme4.

indeed get a different case in order to get some more performance parts.
also why have a spare h100i and no oc'ing? (this doesn't make any sense in my book)
what gpu do you plan on reussing?

I didn't think window 8 would run wow, unless I'm wrong(which wouldn't be the first time).

Windows 8 runs all games Win7 does. True, there are a -few- select games it performs marginally less better than 7, but for all intents and purposes it runs everything else just as good, if not a tiny bit better.

Also, I think you guys misread. He is not reusing a video card. So uh... Knock that system down by like $250 and add a video card to hit $750.
No, I'm confused. The OP is confusing saying that "except" and then "I already have" so.. nvm.

Ok, after reading again, I am confused as to what you have and don't have.

Edit 2: Switched build to take SSD out, andddd... Yeah, I could fit a bit nicer PSU in, but really, that case is overpriced imo.

You will not be able to get an SSD reliably on that budget, either.

He already all this I assume?

Yeah I got confused because he added "I already have" after that stuff. Noted, he doesn't need an SSD either.

Okay, so REALLY all he needs is a Case, PSU, CPU, RAM, and MB. I still think the case is way overpriced, but can fit in the budget. I don't recommend it though.

Maybe OP can confirm and let us know exactly which parts he already have and/or need.

you could also go for an i7-3770k but then you would go overbudget if you were to get your $230 case you mentioned at the first post. (tbh get an i7 and cheaper case)

My build here pretty much covers the CPU power needed, the case you want, and a good cheap power supply and ram.

I'd still recommend a cheaper and smaller case but that's your choice of course. Other than that my build further up is what I recommend considering the budget after after case choice.

Yeah I don't really see the point in getting a 200+ dollar case when a 100+ dollar case would work just as nice. But that's just personal opinion.
