It's usually bad practice to ban people for no reason though.

Whether or not legitimate players were actually banned in this wave is another story.

Did you report the teams in question? Although, I understand where you are coming from, but if you don't take action and report the cheaters, that pretty much makes you guilty as well. You willingly benefited from their wrongful actions by doing nothing against it.
So, unless you opened a ticket, reporting the names and asked to adjust your rating accordingly, you need to accept that some may call you a cheater too.

You overlooking one principle of the law. For which I know very well does also apply to all European Countries, as well as for the USA.... Ignorantia juris non excusat.
Ignorance is not an excuse.... Not knowing the law/rule doesn't prevent you from punishment. The law/rule still exists. Plus, in Europe even more than in the USA the citizens duty is to actively prevent crime.. No way in hell would they win a court case, cause the case wouldn't even make it to a court date. Frivolous lawsuits are just that, and will be dismissed before the courts wasting their valuable time with such stuff..
It's obvious, the innocent aren't that innocent. They never reported the cheating teams from which they had a benefit. They neglected their duty. And I am pretty sure in either case they were happy to get a free win.

Well 72 hours is quite a joke. Strongly doubt they will get everyone anyways.

So you're saying that winning a game because the enemy team played poorly is bannable now? I don't mean those that intentionally tank for the purpose of wintrading, I mean teams that played poorly.

LOL 72 hours is nothing. If you are so "pro" you will get 2400++ again in no time.

PS Suck to be caught? Delicious wintraders tears.

He streams a shitton of his games. I saw him fight several 1500 MMR teams. It's not like it's his fault for queueing into low MMR.

hilarious you might want to look in thew dutch/european right because there lua/tos is lower then they law. and since i just payed them for 1 year they have no right to ban me. so yea you can sue them. blizzard ain't all mighty in court or someting.

because if they stated in the lua/tos that they can take alway all your money from you bank there allowed to do it?

true you need to prevent crime. But i/we can't help it there que system sucks and allow a 2400+ team to join against a 1500 team. so its also there duty to prevent it asap. yet win trading goes on when the first arena season started. so its there flaw in the first place they still didn't get it right by now.

This is the worst move I have ever seen blizzard make and they love to make dumb calls so that's saying a lot. There are a lot of players (myself included) who would never try to win trade or exploit but have received a ban because blizzard made a flawed system and can't just admit their own mistakes so they blame the players. They need to fix the problem, which is win trading, not just ban all the players who tried to play the game legitimately and got stuck in games against players who were abusing the broken system. What they did is dismissive of the real problem and insanely disrespectful to all the real players who put in their time to earn a high rating. I mean we already put up with their piece of shit broken game and now we get banned just for playing their shitty game. I can't wait for a new game to come along and dethrone this shitty company so we can all move on to something worth our time.

You should change the title to "Blizzard banning almost everyone with a high rating in rbg's", because that's what actually happened here, it wasn't fair and it shouldn't be applauded.

It most likely isn't just the rating but also the MMR, Achievments and gear made this season. So the season is pretty much over for these people.

Your attitude is horrible and you're not being a realist but merely a conceited weird guy stating his personal opinions mistaking those for facts when they very obviously aren't.
And yeah, games that are played offline and streamed worldwide constantly are definitely more competitive over games that are basically restricted to online only. More people = more competition. Wow's pvp has too many people below 1800, some people 1800-2.2k and a fraction of the playerbase over 2.2k. Therefore, its easy prey for people who are generally above 2.2k to win trade instead of taking a risk to lose a game vs a lesser team and lose 100 rating over one game. Plus, a lot of the same people you compete with often become your friends and sometimes you rather just help each other out.
We played against 2,7k wintraders and won, they lost 24 at most and not 100 rating. This alone invalidates your whole "I am such an expert and knows how the game goes!".

As for the rest of your pointless post. What kind of offline games are you refering too, Tekken maybe? Offline games usually have a far smaller community, they are far less evolved and widespread then online games are. The vast majority of recognizable games now and in the past have been online and not offline games such as Starcraft + Brood War, SC II, Counter Strike in all its incarnations, MOBA nowaday and quite a few others.
Gaming tournaments in generally aren't taken seriously as of now by the vast majority of people and it will take quite some time till they eventually are.

Cheating isn't something exclusive to online or just gaming, doping is a widespread problem in sports. If people see a chance to cheat many will do so, especially if they otherwise wouldn't be competitive. You're claiming that the vast majority of high rated players are cheating, for SOME this might be the cast, but in most cases BAD or MEDIOCRE players are to ones win trading.
They are the ones who otherwise would have no chance ever to get the rewards PvP offers such as titles, gladiator mounts, elite gear and so on. Skilled players usually end up with those anyway and will in the vast majority of cases beat a worse group.

Oh yeah I don't win trade. I just know how these things work.
Sure you don't. No way you'd ever do that. You made your rank on your own! And no you obviously do not know how these things work. You don't even know about rating loss and gains for that matter. Either you are a wintrader yourself or you're an PvE hero.

The players who were caught in the net who did not win trade but gained points from win traders are more than likely banned due to not reporting each incident. I personally reported the player(s) I could see even if it was briefly through the ticket system and avoided a ban, yet a couple of people whom I play with consistently were. The difference was reporting; I reported and they did not.

P.S. I'm not saying this is all but it is at least 1 factor.

  14. #54
Excellent. Seeing stuff like this happen always pleases me.

  15. #55
i know 2 wintraders both over 2.6k and none of them got banned.

  16. #56
if they starter permabanning wintraders instead of the silly 72 hours they're handing out, it would probably stop <.<

then make sure there 100% correct. and not let a program/script ban them.

in korea or china. there going to lock people up who bot in online games since alot of the real money transaction are used for in game currency that are not farmed by
humans. so rethink if your a realist or not. because atm you look like a ostrich. if it doesn't mappen in eu/us it isn't there.

There's a difference to win an actual BG because the other team simply sucks, and to win a BG because the other team gives it away... and everyone who plays PVP to the extent to get into RBG's can tell that difference.
So right there, if you experienced such team and you didn't report it, you deserve to be sanctioned just as much as those from said teams.
Win trading went viral basically. That can only happen if no one fights it actively. There is simply no other way for it to exist and become widespread. The entire community benefited from it. Some of that community got the hammer now, and an outcry happens...
The innocent aren't innocent after all..
